The player, Marlon Davidson, played 12 snaps in Sunday’s game against the Panthers. He made contact with at least six Panthers players, according to film analysis by The Observer, including right guard John Miller on five plays, left tackle Russell Okung on three plays, center Matt Paradis on two plays, left tackle Taylor Moton on two plays, left guard Chris Reed on one play and backup lineman Trent Scott on three special teams plays

My opinion on keys to success for this game win was pressure on Foles. That’s looking like a scarce chance now.

Let's not assume our backups won't be effective. Rhule seems to spread the reps around for just such a circumstance. Plus with a 16 player practice squad, we have guys who can fill in. This is a great chance for depth guys to show why you need more reps. It worked for Davis. What better season to let everyone gets reps and separate the wheat from the chaffe.

Damn. Was great seeing YGM starting to progress. Weatherly and Obada have done well in spurts opposite Burns. Assuming Burns is back, hopefully those other two can step it up another notch. Will be interesting to see what Snow does on third and long. He had been mixing in some three defensive end looks where YGM generated some great pressures (and I think a sack in the chargers game). With KK down as well, our DTs are gonna be gassed. Maybe Haynes gets a few more snaps in those situations with Obada kicked inside.

I hope they can step up and fill the void but I have a strong suspicion that if Burns is out, leaving us without 3 starters on our line, it might get ugly in the secondary. Can’t speak for KK’s production this year but his resume in the very least has likely opened up opportunities for Brown’s success.
