Defense is two starters away from being very good.

Oh, I think an upgrade at MLB and FS absolutely puts this group in the top 10. We're currently just outside he top 10 in both yardage (11th) and points allowed (13th).

Talk to me at the end of the season after the injuries start mounting.  Then you will know what you have.

The Bears rushed for a total of 28 and 35 yards in their 2 games leading up to the Panther game. The Chicago Bears were a one-dimensional team and, despite knowing they were going to be a pass-oriented offense, the Panthers had nothing yesterday.

No pressure on a quarterback who, when he ran yesterday, I thought I could beat in a foot race.

I'm still undecided on what this defense actually is.   I could go either way.   Or I mean we likely could be extremely average. I mean there are arguments that we have caught a lot of very lucky breaks that last 4 weeks that have made us look much better than we really are.

rookie QB making his first start cross country, AZ team who WRs were banged up coming in and not practicing, a ATL team whose WRs were banged up/hurt, the Bears have one of the worst offenses in the NFL.

I really like some of the guys up front.  I'm still not sold on the back 7 being able to get the job done vs good healthy offenses.

*gonna need Tepper to throw a roof up real quick for this to then have a shot.

As long as he takes the bat to Whitehead and throws him through a table I’m all for it

Our secondary has been fine, safeties included, losing Justin Burris might change that now.

Our biggest need is middle linebacker and another pass rushing De. We are not getting consistent pressure outside of Burns.

Gross Matos, though injured, has had one of the highest pressure percentages in the league.

The one with Carolina getting no sacks and one TFL (and that was on a RB) on an immobile QB.

Sacks and pressure are 2 different things.. You know that right?? The int and almost Int was due to pressure.. Foles was hit a more then  few times and forced out the pocket as well.. What game were you watching??

As I said, the one with no sacks and 1 TFL. Against an immobile QB with no running game.

The game Carolina lost because their defense was atrocious against a 1-dimensional team.

What game were you watching- the one you think they won?

He probably meant not being able to get home and get a single sack vs a team the world knew wasn't going to be able to run the ball.

but yeah, they got some pressure on slow and immobile Foles.

    • Nope Still missing it. Let's try this a different way... You have two quarterbacks from schools that ran the same kind of offense - maybe even two from the same school - on a given team (not necessarily the Panthers). One is designated the starter while the other is named the backup. Why?
    • yeah, pretty sure boss.....when things match and fit in the NFL.....the results then show it.  and when they don't, well, the results show that as well.  Bryce doesn't fit.   *but I get why late season and wants to argue with everyone Mr. Scot has also turned into a please don't talk to me about stats guy as well.  Given, the stats that reflect offensive productivity work against all your present arguments.
    • Yeeeah...stats and rankings have zero to do with a discussion of scheme and skill set match. Maybe look up definitions of style vs ability and see if that helps. At this point, you've basically had three different people explain to you where you're wrong, but rather than addressing any of those statements, you're just resorting to straight deflection.  You don't get it. Either that or you're acting like you don't get it so that you can avoid the discussion because it's not going well for you. (that wouldn't surprise me either) 😄 Sme result either way, I suppose.
