Sports Illustrated’s Mike Fisher floated a few others whom Dallas evidently is shopping: nose tackle Dontari Poe and defensive back Daryl Worley.

Good luck. Poe and Worley are a pair of primary culprits responsible for the club’s historically bad defense, which ranks dead last against the run and in scoring, allowing a mind-numbing 34.7 points per game under embattled coordinator Mike Nolan.

The Cowboys probably will be forced to outright release either offseason signing if they’re deadset on divorce. Poe and Worley’s respective league-wide interest undoubtedly is less than zero.

Unless you're the Buffalo Bills, signing former Panthers from the Rivera era is probably a bad idea.

They may have the worst NFL defense I've ever seen. If the Cowboys are willing to part with a defensive player right now you absolutely don't want them.

They also have maybe the worst coaching staff ever assembled. Bunch of losers, wannabes and has-beens. Worley and Poe might have more left in the tank on another team. But they sucked in Carolina too so who knows.

Yeah, I don't want a DT who was featured on two of the worst run defenses in recent memory in each of the past two seasons nor a CB featured on two of the worst passing defenses the past two seasons.

All the former panthers that the bills signed this year have been petty bad, outside a few plays by Addinson and Kelin. Seen where a few of them maybe on the block too.

Rhule wants hard workers that are tough, most times thats a college player. Cause once a player cashes that million dollar check, most dont work as hard.

    • Pretty sure that a QB contract payday is all the competition any QB in this league needs, I don't think a competent backup is going to make them play any harder when the current situation wouldn't warrant the contract extension yet anyways. Your opening point in this post is also the problem, "Bryce has shown signs of improving", but that's still all he's shown, and he's only showing that because of just how bad he was to start his career. If he played like last season from the beginning and never improved one bit, then I actually think more fans would be ready to move on from him, which is what's weird.  It's like going from one of the biggest draft busts of all time into the 25th best QB in the league over 3 years means he deserves a long term $40+ million a year contract extension. Improvement shouldn't be the goal when the result of said improvement is still bottom of the league levels.
    • Yeah, but we've seen him do it. Just not often. I think that's the reason for the taller WRs. Would likely be a problem finding someone like Jimmy Horn in the mess.
    • And the Rams, Seattle, Patriots, Green Bay, Jaguars and the Bills who all made the playoffs and in case you forgot, Seattle and the Patriots played in the SB. By any measure, that's pretty brutal.
