Greg Little was benched

That's one thing I believe about Rhule: he may be a good guy and a player's coach in the sense that guys want to do well by him---don't want to let him down, but he low-key doesn't appear to be one that's going to accept mediocrity too long! I just love the fact that he'll bench you if you ain't getting it done! He also appears to always be thinking about ways to improve the team, including thinking outside the box.

Can you hear the music? I can!

Congrats to the Panthers for exceeding our expectations for awhile but...

In the words of Dennis Green:  They are who we thought they were.

I'll enjoy the small victories along the way, but we've got many miles to travel before the Panthers reach the promised land.

We definitely have a ways to go, but they aren't who I thought they were. I was sure we'd be a bottom 5 team, and the worst D in the league. They've already exceeded expectations in both those regards this year, and every single loss so far has been a relatively close, winnable game. I think with dead cap space cleared up after the season and some FA additions and another draft and more development from our young guys, we'll be a playoff team next year and contending for a SB within 2 years. Before the season I thought that'd be more like 3-5 years.

Rhule confirmed today that Little was pulled for performance issues last night.

I isolated on him last night early and he looked better, but then I started watching the OG/OC combo of two frat boys trying to dry hump a mannequin at Macy's.  I would have to think that the Little experiment is at its end--I expect him to be released when Okung returns--I might try to move him inside, but I dunno.

Marty tried to make the kid a first rounder--but there were no takers.

Reed had a 9.2 PFF grade in pass protection. The film lines up with that assessment perfectly. I am buddies with a Packers fan, he thought I was overreacting so I told him to check the film and he then nearly had a stroke watching him in the HIGHLIGHTS.

Seriously, Paradis is bad, and his contract hurts more, but Reed is on a whole new level of suck. I refuse to believe there's not someone out there who could do a better job than him. Unfortunately, the Bengals just signed one of those candidates.

We have an out in Paradis contract next year and I really think we should take it. He's been backup bad.

I'd like to apologize to @Moo Daeng because he said there was no one available to replace Paradis or Reed last night.  I was unaware that Larsen was still in protocol, but I knew Daley was available going into the game, so I didn't know why he wasn't starting.  But, I did NOT know That Daley was taken to the locker room early in the game until Scot mentioned it, so apparently we literally had no interior help, and Moo was right.

Whatever the reason, hopefully Larsen and Daley are back next week and start over Paradis and Reed.  Along with Matt Kalil, they are the absolute worst OL I can ever remember suiting up for us.

    • This is huge may not be a trap game but this plays a major part in what they want to do. If we can get some pressure on Sam we know what he does with pressure coming hit and heavy. Also we may be able to take the top off their defense a backup safety trying to stop TMac or Cooker over the top or forcing him to play the backend should allow us to run the ball somewhat effectively. Either they allow some runs or we take some shots and if Bryce and whoever can connect deep we’ll be in business for another big time win against a top notch opponent. Might not be a trap game but health travel game plans all play a major role in each weeks game plan and this week might be leaving our way. We’re missing some replaceable pieces they’re missing key anchors to the offense and defense major difference time to solidly ourselves at one of the top teams in the nfc tomorrow fellas buckle up.
    • Yes.  If I am not mistaken, we need to sign Coker to the ERFA tender and insist that XL spends his spring and summer at a WR camp and not Coon huntin on his four wheeler.  XL was raw when we picked him--which is why I wanted to go another direction--and we are seeing how raw.  He is basically learning a position.     The Panthers will make their move in 2026 to be an NFL powerhouse behind Bryce.  Bryce needs intelligent WRs who catch the ball.  That said, we need a solid #2 to challenge XL and make cutting him easy, if necessary.  A #2 WR (intented to be a #1 by now) with under 400 yards is embarrassing.   On offense, you have to ask, "Where can we get better?"  In my view, #2 WR, TE (although they are improving) and maybe C (again, if we re-sign Mays, he is trending up and at 26, entering his prime--I say stay with him and find competition later in the draft (not good for C).  OL depth maybe?  In other words, XL is a glaring weak spot.
