Anyone have excitement or positive vibes left for this season?

I never had any expectation that this year was going to be good and was pleasantly surprised by the first couple of games and started to get some hope.  Then reality set in and I'm back to having no expectation any longer and it certainly makes watching the games more enjoyable.  I watch just to enjoy Burns, Chinn, and the rest of the young talent that will be key pieces for years.

Season is starting to look pretty bleak. 5 game losing streak. McCaffrey set to miss more games, Bridgewater not playing well and now dealing with a knee injury, defense is getting worse by the game.

What are some things to be excited or positive about? High draft pick and new QB next season? Coaching staff hasn't let the team get continually destroyed like the Jets? We have football during a pandemic?

Well ya, its nice to watch football without expectations. Not really sure what you were expecting.

Yes, this is the exact kind of season I expected. We won't win many games, but will be in shot of nearly every game. This team has played alot harder than I anticipated even though the win column doesn't support that. I'm excited for the future of what Rhule and co. Bring to the table, and to see the rookies and young players progress.

I thought Samuel would confirm his bust status, he looks like one of our most reliable weapons and I hope he gets resigned.

I was high on Chinn, brown and yetur... It looks like they all have a bright future.

Teddy is exactly as I expected. Very accurate short game passer who will struggle to push the ball down field or show killer instinct in games. He's not bad, but he is as his name implies... A bridge QB.

Boston and Tahir look as expected... Sadly. But shaq and Robby anderson have been bright spots as well.

Even though we're not great, I'm excited as a panther fan for the future!

After 9 weeks of being competitive against some of the toughest games on our schedule, you're going to let one game that got out of hand in the 4th quarter make you throw your hands up and decide there's nothing left to watch for the season? This was literally one game after we nearly won at Kansas City. Tampa Bay got blown out even worse by the Saints last week and they blew out the Packers even worse a few weeks before that. Damn man, step off the ledge.

There's plenty to enjoy the rest of the year.

1) Matt Rhule and his insane gutsy playcalling. How many more fake punts this year? Is it going to be more shocking when we actually punt on 4th down?

2) Growth of our coordinators. Both Brady and Snow are newbies in the NFL ranks. Would love to see them learn and evolve their schemes. Seemed like Snow was calling a few extra blitzes. Would like to see Brady add more wrinkles to his playcalling and better mask our deficiencies.

3) Improvement in our young guys. Looking forward to see what strides players like Gross-Matos, Chinn, Brown, and Pride make. Hoping we'll play a lot of all rookie D line and see if we might be set with our defensive line of the future.

4) Watch for the handful of splash offensive plays we might make. Samuel or Moore is almost always good for 1 wow play every game. Waiting and hoping for it to happen adds a fun anticipation to every game.

Let's revisit this after we play Detroit. I've got to think we'll be back to looking like our old scrappy selves.

Of course. In a year with a new coaching regime and no preseason, an all defense draft way overdue, and the largest dead money hit in the league, we had slim chances at being competitive. On top, we’ve been ravaged by crucial injuries including losing our best player for most of the season. Despite all that, we’ve been in every game more or less. I’m excited to watch the youth continue to develop and the culture take hold. I really like what the defensive line is doing (and on the other side really disappointed in our backers although I think shaq has done better than most feel)

I have long speculated there is a secret gay underground organization in the NFL and taysom hill and troy aikman are definitely a part of it. Maybe he's got some info about whitehead and boston tho, I'm not sure who all is involved.

Is that because they found Russian paperwork in Taysom Hill's locker.

I remain very positive. Similar to the Dolphins last year.

You can see the pieces that should stay that look really promising.  If we land the right players, there could be an awesome transformation next year.

Coaches have been a nice surprise.

D: Burns, YGM, Brown, Chinn, Burris

O: CMC, Moore, Robby, Curtis, Moton

Have a ways to go but put the right guys next to these and it could be a really nice setup for 2021.

I start every year super excited that football is back and so are my Panthers.

stage 1: I don’t miss a game. Our family dinners are planned around the game time.  Family pictures scheduled?  Absolutely not.  The panthers are playing.

stage 2: ok. Starting to think about mowing and getting chores done. I’m now shutting games off at halftime because they suck. But I keep starting the games and trying to watch!  I’m now warm to the idea of family pictures on Sunday afternoon if need be.

stage 3: ok.  Is there anything I need to get done?  Because now everything takes precedence over the game. Please honey, schedule the damnation pictures. Hell, I’ll run you to Petsmart. No problem.  Anything else?  Time to mow again even though I just did yesterday?  Yes.

I’m now comfortably at stage 2

    • Not sure who said it first, but Tepper is the correct answer. Still, I'm gonna go with Kasay keeping it inbounds. If, you subscribe to the butterfly effect version of time travel consequences.... When we win SBXXXVIII everybody's lives change: Moose never breaks his leg, We win it all again in 05. Tommy Jone is unknown and Peppers stays home, Champs once more 2008. No artificial pig heart turning JR into a creepy weirdo, no lockout, no Clausen. Fox and Jake ride off into the sunset on their own terms. No 2-14, no #1 pick. But, no laptop, no Blinn, 3 years behind The Golden Calf of Bristol, we still get Cam. JR let's him grow his locs like he always wanted, Smitty sees Cam in a new light. Dreads swinging, (and Smitty with his 3 Lombardis behind him) Cam is old enough to get those calls. No Manning narrative, Cotchery TD, PI against Talib on Philly Brown, 10,000 RTP calls and Kony Ealy SB50 MVP. No Jeans Fridays, no Tepper. KB doesn't slip on his own meatsweat mid-route in SD, Cam becomes the 1st QB to win 10 straight SBs. Retiring after being elected 47th president of the US of A, Cam ushers in the Permanent Proletarian Revolution across the globe, Xi Jinping bows in awe. "ẄøŘƙƐṛ§ őF ŧĤə ŵØRłð, ŮŊÏŦƐ!!!"
    • Yeah your right the owner was copping hand shandies while all this was going down
    • I mean not surprised the Patriots took him in and aren't trying to push him out. They've been the most morally bankrupt team in the NFL for a long while. Wouldn't be surprised if Vrabel has his own dirt on Kraft/Brady and other assholes from that organization over the last couple decades.
