Seeing Walker makes me see Teddy's limitations too

Here's one play where I'd disagree with you. With Bridgewater in the game (especially an 85% healthy TB) this is a sack. I'm glad Rhule and the staff make the call to not put Teddy out there at less than 100%. Good on PJ and DJ for making a play.

Also Teddy doesn't have the arm strength to make throws at awkward body angles. That play was so refreshing to see.

So what you are saying is the Teddy should start because he has a higher salary?  Ron is that you?

I'm saying that Bridgewater is clearly a good NFL starting QB.

He's 28 and being paid $20m a year to be our QB (with an out after next season). That's too expensive for a backup and, quite frankly, he wouldn't want to be here in such a role.

Also please don't compare me to Ron Rivera. That's a grave insult.

What? You mean someone who doesn’t take chances and doesn’t push the ball down the field?
I hope we go in a completely opposite direction from Bridgewater with our next QB.
Give me a gunslinger over boring conservative play any day of the week.

We're running a West Coast Offense. It's designed to stretch the field horizontally, same as the Saints do.

And who gives a sh-t if it's boring if it wins football games? do you hear any Saints fans complaining that they wish their offense was more exciting?

"You know, winning games is cool and all, but I'd trade some of those wins for a little excitement."

It’s not like Teddy has a winning record this season. The “conservative” play of Teddy is most mind-numbing when during the several potential game winning drives this year Teddy continued to throw check down after check down to the running back, letting the clock bleed down where we were left with failed 60+ yard field goal attempts.

There isn't one QB in this league that doesn't have someone behind them trying to beat them for the starting position.  Many don't succeed and many of those starting QBs will never be out dueled but it doesn't mean those backups don't try.

TB has decision making and a high completion percentage (mostly because his throws are under 10 yards) over PJ.  PJ has a much better arm and is more mobile than TB.  His accuracy isn't bad but can make a bad throw now and then.  Given time PJ can be just as good.

You start the QB that gives you the chance to win the most.  While the book is far from closed as to the true talent of PJ.  This is the perfect time to let him get some quality time.   It won't be the first time we've had to swallow a contract when someone else is better.

.How many times have you watched Drew Brees or Tom Brady (who, granted, runs an E-P) do the exact same thing?

That's how this offensive system works.

Has Bridgewater put it all together this season? Definitely not, but we've scored enough points in most games that with even halfway decent defensive play (which we're very rarely getting) we could have won a lot more games.

Apparently, those two guys are just a wee bit more successful than Teddy Bridgewater at GW drives so I kind of doubt they are checking it down constantly to the RB and forcing 60+ yard FG attempts.

Well considering that Football is an entertainment product I would like some excitement in my winning and not being bored to tears and frustrated when Bridgewater is playing. But you appear content with boring mediocrity so you do you.

That or he panics and throws INTs.
