Ummm missed fg

You’re saying Slye missing a 50+ Yarder does constitute fault, but Teddy missing a 7 yard pass where the WR could not be more wide open does not? Just wanting to be sure I’m following you here

I don't ever "need" a loss.

Neither does the team, but it's something guys tell themselves sometimes after they lose.

It sucks but you know what, after 5, 7 and 8 game losing streaks and being 16-28 the last three years (4.5 games worse than the Browns), it keeps a lot of us interested.

You don’t think we’d rather have been competing for the playoffs the last 3 years?

How’s the culture of not tanking and going for it serving us at 4-8? The coaching staff has shown moxie and areas where we need to improve, but going 5-11 or 6-10 isn’t changing our culture as much as having a stud QB that can win games late.

I don't believe in tanking.

On the flip side, I'm not really interested in seeing this team sneak into the playoffs just to get curb stomped.

We are lucky Cowboys Chargers and Bengals are 3 of the 5 teams worse than us right now.  Sitting pretty for the 3rd best QB right now. Broncos and Washington games will be huge though.

We have gotten to the point where we can lose to any team.

Exactly, I'm not happy with the performance but at least it leads to a better pick.

I’m generally not a tanker, but watching Teddy passively throw uninspired checkdowns on third and long, constantly missing DJ (even to the point of getting him seriously injured), and his anti-clutchness all have me on the tank train if we can replace his tepid ass.

    • Burns quit on his team, full stop. Burns was and continues to be a liability in the run.    JC has never looked this bad before the concussion. He always was a very solid tackler, from what I remember.  I’ll take the overall body of his work over his current down stretch. I’ve never had to question his heart. The FO has royally screwed up roster management in many other deals but retaining Horn continues to be the right move. He will be back to form next season.
    • I get it. I was making a joke that we have zero chance of winning.
    • Did Bryce play bad? Yes. Did the whole offense play bad? Yes.  Was Canales bad with his playcalling? Yes. Now with that being said I don't put this loss solely on Bryce Young. The seahawks are a much more talented team than us and to win in a scenario like that you need some luck which we didn't have that day.  Bryce has shown this year that you can win with him at QB but the problem is that he doesn't have the ability to elevate the rest of the team around him. Bryce was a number 1 overall pick who we traded a haul of assets to get going into the end of his 3rd year the expectations need to be much higher than 54 yards passing.  It's been nice to get some wins this year and have a chance to make the playoffs and Bryce has played a part in that but at some point the front office needs to see that you can't keep giving Bryce a pass for these low production games.
