SACK....YAY!!

How Brown didn’t get a hands to the face call on that play I have no idea.

Also, love how Rodgers can flip the ball to the left and not get grounding when the RB is directly in front of him. Is it really in the area if you throw it in a completely different direction?

It's a strong, very strong legitimate possibility that both guys sitting on the bench are better options than Teddy, so as averse as I would've been to it at the time, signing a guy like Mariota would've been much better.  And regardless of how he looks this year with no weapons in NE, Cam should've been allowed to play out his final year of his contract and I guarantee he would've been better than Teddy with this cast and staff.  Hell, Jameis was probably a better option than Teddy.  All I know is, Teddy was the absolute worst option, especially for what we paid him, and we did it anyway.

I don't agree with you on those other options, but I won't get hung up on that. Let's say all of those other options are "better" than Teddy. None of them are ideal QBs for the short or long term. I would not be confident about our future at all with any of those other QBs being "the guy." It's pretty clear Teddy isn't the guy here and we'll likely be drafting a QB. If we had one of those other players here, we may not even be in a position to get our QB of the future. I'd rather have achieved it by playing Kyle Allen or Grier, etc. than tie up cap with Teddy, but signing Teddy isn't some disaster that people think it is. It was not a good move but it wasn't crippling at all and may even be part of the reason we can get a franchise QB this draft. It only becomes a disaster if the team continues to stick with him and doesn't draft a QB this year, but I really can't see that happening at this point.

And as much as people hate his on-field play, and I absolutely do, he's definitely a great guy and would be a great mentor for a young QB for a year. Not in terms of coaching the QB to read defenses, etc. (that's the QB coach's job), but in that he would be one of the few starters ever who wouldn't be pissed off at being replaced by a young QB and would actually help the guy get better and encourage him. Like an Alex Smith instead of a Brady.

Like I said, he’s not the worst hire in any way. I just have been less than impressed. Those with selective memories who forget they ripped Ron for losing close games in 2011-12 have forgiven Rhule for making the same (and in some cases, even worse) mistakes. Ron had to go, because the players weren’t listening to him anymore. But I’m not seeing much difference this December from the December before, or the december before that...

My thing is this roster is far worse than what Ron had in 11 and 12 and Rhule has them playing better than most thought.
