He does not like to tackle.  Boston has been playing in the box more lately--maybe because jackson is in---but we need 2 starting DBs.  Jackson can be one, but if he is fragile or scared, I do not want him

He's always seemed like a willing tackler to me.

Jackson should never be a CB1.  Is he a good matchup / slot corner, yes, 100% (when healthy).  We still need to replace Bradberry.  Think about our secondary with a Bradberry / Norman / Gamble esque CB1, then Rasul Douglas and Donte Jackson as matchup corners based on opposition.  That's a good secondary.

Well, honestly, who knows? And that has been the knock on him for a long time... you just don't know if he will be good enough season to season, week to week, play to play. He's neither consistently good nor consistently bad. When he's on, he is a starting CB who can match up with a good to excellent receiver. All the rest of the time he's either injured, playing through an injury, completely outmatched or just meh.

What do you do with a guy like that?

Ive actually been pleasantly surprised with the secondary this year relative to where I thought they would be. I dont think we need entire OL or secondary overhauls. I think we need some fresh talent in there. I think Pride has had a nice rookie season and has gotten a ton of experience. He definitely has a lot of room for improvement, but to come in in as a rookie in the covid year and start 16 games for an improving defense...that has me optimistic. Between DJax and Pride.....a full overhaul isnt needed just augmentation.

I don't know if you all saw the stat in the game the other night.  Rodger's completions was for like 4.5 yds.  This was well below his career average. I believe they said is was the lowest in his career.  This tells me the backend was covering their WRs well and they were having to throw underneath.

Another stat.  Rogers was sack 14 times all season coming into our game.  We got to him 5 times.  IMO Rodgers was trying to go deep but they were well covered and our young D-Line got to him.

One more.  Adams had a 8 game TD streak going and we ended that.
