Tiebreaker Tepper?

Do not like that at all

If you read everything he said, you might like it even less.  He's just going to be the tie breaker if it gets to that point.  It appears he wants himself and the rest of the executive team to be heavily involved up to that point as well.

There is nothing wrong with him providing a platform where an organization works together, and he acts as mediator. Coach and Gm agree, fine. They don't agree let me provide some input. I own this team ya know?

Not really a shock. But I could see how this could raise eyebrows. Hopefully he's nothing like ole JJ down in Dallas.

Not a fan of this at all. Owners who meddle like this rarely have successful teams. I'll wait to let things play out a bit before I react but on the surface this is not a good look. Tepper should pay whatever he needs to to get Colbert and then step the fug back and let him and Rhule handle everything football.

I've always wondered when it comes down to a pick where the gm and coach disagree.... how do they resolve it?

Each team has its own way of going about it, depending on how they have things set up.

Reading what he said overall doesn't make it sound like he wants to be a bystander and only get involved to act as a mediator.  He sounds like he wants to be heavily involved in the decision making process.  He even talked about renovating the facilities to have his office, the CFO, the team President, the GM and the coaches all having offices side by side and having the group constantly talk and collaborate on decision making.

If it comes down to 50/50 between two guys, if he made the final call, it would be the one more likely to put people in the stands. That's it. But that's if there wasn't a clear decision / the two prospects were rated the same.

Source: Common sense.
