Idk. I’d argue that he was on the right track in Cleveland but ownership didn’t give him or his staff enough time. They were starting to trend in the right direction. Also, that Bill guy’s second job was for the Jets. Even if it was only for a day. His 3rd chance is where he killed it.

Jeff Duncan had an article recently suggesting that the Saints 2017 Draft class might have been one of the best ever.

He asked Dez Bryant if his mother was a prostitute. (I do not think a jury would convict you for ripping his head off his shoulders for that). Remember, Tepper's cap manager told someone he was a throat slasher.   Culture is important.

He's been running their draft for a while now, including that 2017 draft that was crazy good.

The Saints have given him raises and new titles a couple of times trying to keep him away from other teams, but at this point the only title he could realistically be promoted to would be GM. So unless they're willing to fire Mickey Loomis (unlikely) he's gotta go elsewhere to get promoted again.
