It's over

Between Teddy's blah-ness and CMC's injury & injuries in general, new staff and young team during Covid, etc.,  I honestly can say I'm excited for what's ahead.  The offense will thrive with a legit QB, and the defense basically played above their heads for the 2nd half of the season.  That's coaching. That's young guys stepping up. Anyone expecting this season to be pretty was....yeesh. What I did see this season though were very clear signs of young guys with potential, some guys taking the next step, and some of the glaring weaknesses that need fixing.

If a few plays are made or breaks go our way, this is a .500 team this year/next year.  Find a couple of players to take us over that hump, and let's go.

Well we finally fired Hurney, there is zero reasons to play pretend that Teddy is any answer other than 'NO!' and we have some young guys who look really good. Mercifully it is over and now we can start focusing on the offseason.

Rhule looks like an early Jimmy Johnson and I'm impressed by his first year. We have been mostly competitive in games. If you actually look at the roster, we have very little talent and last years draft provides a foundation for the future. Sadly, we are going to have to give up a ton to get to number 2 to get our QB of the future, but there really is no way around it. This is a qb driven league and we will be stuck in the 10-6 type hell of never being good enough if we don't make the move. He is going to have to hit on almost all the draft picks and FA from here on out

Hurneys gone and we got some good young blood. I'm cautiously optimistic as I am every year. Good news is next year is an odd number so we should at the very least be playoff bound. Really hope we buck the back to back winning seasons soon, but time will tell.
