3 QBs in the top 4?

Anyone watch the question proposed to Matt Rhule last week about fans being pissed we won. I found it hilarious. If you can read body language and facial expressions. He basically said I tried. The Skins were just that bad. I can't even fault the front office. We would have had to start running the wrong way to lose that. Ronny Rivera was that inept.

Not sure if the Dolphins budge from 3 if Sewell is in their lap.

Would be a lot like Washington last year with Chase Young

Sewell is a great talent, but Miami just drafted 3 rookies last year that all started this year.

That team better get Tua some weapons. They have one good receiver in Parker who stays injured half the time. They absolutely should trade back and take Smith/Chase

Oh yea? Tell me the last time a trade like that worked out in favor of the team trading up? Look at recent drafts and all the "franchise Qbs" that are currently playing only a few of them were drafted in the top 10. You don't need to mortgage the future to find your Qb if anything it hurts you more than it helps.

"The teams that have a quarterback picked in the Top 5 on their roster (the Browns, Dolphins, Bengals, Jets, Rams, Cardinals, Bears, Lions, Eagles, Pats, and Falcons) have a combined record of 67-87-2 this season."

lol what an awful post with a cherry picked statistic

you listed teams with rookie QBs, you listed team with QBs who they themselves didn't even draft, you listed teams with QBs with exceptional careers with sustained success and distilled it down to one season

What do you get when you remove all those?

A few playoff teams and the new York jets

This. We are in a great spot to trade up without it crippling us for years to come. If you have a guy you like, that you feel can be your franchise QB for years to come, you absolutely go for it.

Moving up 6 spots to 3 would cost a fortune...

Not true because of the steep compensation teams would want to accept that trade.

I wouldn’t consider a future 1st crippling our team if we get a franchise QB. At 8 we could have someone call to us and if not it’s not going to kill us to trade up for who we want.

Mahomes comes to mind. Again we are in a good spot to have one of the top 4 rated QBs fall to us, but if we have a guy we fall in love with, we are within striking distance to get a trade pulled off without it killing us.

I'd include others but unfortunately they are already out of the NFL. It doesn't take a genius (or maybe it does knowing this board) to understand that trading up for a "cant miss franchise Qb" has almost never worked out.

And awww crying about cherry picked stats? The record doesn't lie most teams get their Franchise Qbs outside of the top 10 that's a fact no matter how bad you want to cry about it

He said if the Jets pass on Fields. I assume that means they take Sewell. I guess it could mean they take Wilson but I think if the Jets pass on Fields it’s because they are sticking with Darnold and adding Sewell and other weapons since they do have an extra 1st and pick 34.

5 spots (we currently sit at 8 and could be 7 if the eagles win) but like I’ve said before we are in a great spot so have one of the top 4 QBs fall to us. If we are in love with someone at 3 I wouldn’t care giving up a 1st in order to get a franchise QB who will lead out team for years to come if it works out.

    • Exactly, I mean it as no offense to his coaches, but they coach at Holy Cross and not a Power 5 school for a reason. Given his success at that level and his solid testing, I'm surprised he went undrafted, seems like the type that could excel once he gets NFL level coaching. One of higher expectations I've had for an UDFA in a long time.
