When was the last time it really felt like this team wasn't on the brink of salary disaster? Honest question, as I'm sure there was one but it feels like cap is always a major concern.

You just figured that out?  I didn't need a chart to tell me this team is on the brink of disaster brother.

That chart puts half the league in our general vicinity, half of what's left as worse financially, and most all that is right of us being terrible-with a smattering of average-teams

that said, Its vague enough that this chart will tell absolutely everybody here exactly what they want it to say

LOL @ the Saints and Falcons.

I hate to keep harping on it, but our situation would look a helluva lot different without that Teddy contract. What a colossal mistake that was.

Agreed, but if we cut KK and Weatherly, we’d look a lot better.

LMAO look at the Saints.

They have been in 'win now' mode for several years now.  Once their SB window finally closes, they are screwed.  This year is their last best chance to get another ring.  Brees is moving to the booth next year and they have bloated contracts everywhere.

    • when we drafted Bryce Young that team might have been more talented than the team we currently have ?  that was the whole reasoning behind morgagting  our immediate future to trade up to #1 overall for BY. our front offices & owners felt like hey guess what the time is now to srike while the iron is hot go hire an All Star coaching staff we were only a Qb away from taking that next step ..just saying
    • I just dont get the worry over losing a practice squad player that just went undrafted. Everyone just made their selections. The chances of a team wanting to sign him to an active roster after not selecting him is very low.  If that interested they would have taken him late to evaluate in person. As far as I can tell two qbs were signed off another teams practice squad last season and they were both going in to their 5th season.
    • I enjoyed reading this thread and the usual banter that follows. The only silver lining I can identify right now is we do actually have a couple of young QB's behind him and we do have a nice roster on both sides of the ball built around the most important position. So if the team overall shows some promise but we still falter largely due to a lack of consistent passing output (again) hopefully the decision makers can be free to make the best decision for the team going forward after the conclusion of this upcoming season.
