Unimpressive and no wonder the Seahawks have lost all their potency. It's basically Wilson and Carrol's coaching at this point.

I think Brady and Belichick did pretty well for themselves with that dynamic for almost 20 years and 9 Superbowl appearances. Most, if not all successful teams have/need this.

Coaching is BB's strength. He built teams early well and over time it has eroded. BB is a terrible drafter at this point and one of the reasons that they are struggling up there. Now trading goober backup QBs to suckers for a 1st? He is a god. Getting something for players he won't commit long term? He is amazing at that. Drafting? It's been downhill since he picked Brady. BB's GMing, at this point, is saved by his coaching.

Last 5? Last 10 includes the Wilson year which was the best. I think you need to look at the last 5 again. 2016 isn’t shown but Seattle let their 1st rounder walk after his rookie deal he played so well. Metcalf, Lewis, Reed, Collier, Carson, Pocic, Dissly and Griffin. Those are the only 2020 starters from the past 5 years and Pocic is bad (called for how many penalties in last week’s loss), Dissly is a blocking TE (24 catches), Collier is meh and Carson’s fine but easily replaced.

3 above average starters in 5 years in Metcalf, Reed and Griffin. The other five are no better than saying Ian Thomas, Donte and Carter are our starters.

In the last 5 years, I’d put CMC, Shaq, Moton, Samuel, Moore, Burns, Brown and Chinn so far above Seattle’s good starters.

Top 4 NFL in the last 5 years is horse poo. If you are saying top 4 as in this is the best drafting of the 4 guys we had in for 2nd interviews then damn, we really didn’t worry about their drafting track record recently. Gettleman and Marty wiped the floor with Seattle’s picks the last four years.

You’d put Shaq Thompson ahead of DK Metcalf? I think you’d be the only one.

Also if you’re comparing draft hauls, it’s good to remember that we’ve consistently been in the top half of the draft and they’ve been at the bottom.

exactly GIF

Also the people comparing drafts are funny, like he had final say in who was drafted over the owner/gm/coach

Personally not very impress with the drafted he did in Seattle. But just trust the process and we'll find out after 3 years.

Well he didn’t have final say in who was drafted. That would be the owner/gm/coach so judging our hire of him based off that would be a disservice. He’s outlasted 3 gm’s in Seattle so obviously he did a good job throughout his time.

No they aren’t. Carroll has won poo.

so that is all you have?  Rhule has won poo.  He took a team with 25% of its cap in dead money--a team with a bare bones defense and no QB or OL.

He won 5 games-

No--they don't give rings for that, but I was comparing style--not records.  Rhule has 16 games, no preseason or camp under his belt. He played about 6 undrafted rookies on Defense--

    • I'm more impressed with the UDFA that the guys they have drafted in the first the last 2 years. A whole lot of prove it is still needed before any improvement should be talked about seriously.
    • Sure.    ignore that he said this roster wasn’t good in 2023 to 2024 but keep up the effort
    • While I don't believe its a must win, (we have been better on the road this post season) it is definitely A NEED TO WIN the longer this series goes the more pronounced the Canes advantage on rest and health will be! If we hold serve at home in games 1 and 2 guaranteeing a 6 game minimum series for them if we lose the road games..... by the game 4 and 5 I expect them to be beat they have played A LOT OF HOCKEY the last three years, they have MINIMAL rest off a more physical than one might have expected series vs the leafs.... you know Tampa took their pound of flesh in round 1 from them. Combine all that with the fact that even though this year's canes squad isn't as talented as last years this IS a better squad than the one they swept last time that had McKenzie Mckeathern on line 1 Turbo with a broken hand a banged uo and eventually concussed Slavin (and even though it was a sweep 6 OTS and 4 1 goal losses is hardly dominant)  This year Bob hasn't been superman (hes probably gonna still have a great save percentage agiast us just a side effect of our style) Thatchuk is maybe 50% (3 game winners agiast us) their defense no longer has Gudas and several other downgrades.  While the Canes have a healthy and performing Svechnikov along with other big guys to counteract florida like Carrier, Jankowski, Robinson.   I by know means think it will happen but I either see this as a low scoring dog fight or a series were the canes surprise and end up dominating.
