Fingers crossed it's just Fitterer following up on his "in on every deal" mantra.

You don't build a consistent winner by trading away that much Draft capital for one player when your roster is a shambles.

Sure you do if there is a 25 year old franchise qb on the table.

Unfortunately for Deshaun the team would have to give up most of those weapons to get him here.

I have to say, it's my opinion that the Texans have next to little leverage in this.  They can't pick the suitor because Watson has the no-trade clause.  If he announces that he has asked for a trade publicly, that further undermines their leverage.  And much like the previous franchise player-involving trades, the team thats losing said player most often just has to take the best package of future assets, not current ones.  If all we offer is draft picks, that's what they have to take, and if they don't they risk Deshaun just sitting out for nothing anyway, or much like Harden did in the NBA with the Rockets, making things so miserable around there that they are forced to deal him with even less leverage than they would have initially and ultimately sending him where he wanted to go in the first place in the process.

    • If Henderson just got a concussion and will possibly/probably now miss next week as well, gotta think missing 2 games of stats at this point of the year might knock him out as he was only just entering the discussion the last few weeks anyways.  Same goes for Judkins going down today too, and Dart's god awful game likely removes him from the conversation as well. It will be interesting to see how the voters compare T-Mac and Egbuka if they end up with stats that are nearly identical. Egbuka burst onto the scene and put up the bulk of his stats early in the year when Baker was playing like the MVP front runner.  While T-Mac was just more consistent throughout the course of the full season (ex. Egbuka has 8 games of 42 yards or less, T-Mac has 4 of them, while T-Mac still scored 3 TDs in those 4 games, where Egbuka only scored 1 TD in his 8). It would be a shame if they put too much weight on the final game of the season if that ends up being the division decider, as I think T-Mac has had the better SEASON while Egbuka had a better peak output during that first month or so but way cooled off since. Maybe Warren goes off in the last 3 games (they still play tomorrow), but it does seem to be down to T-Mac and Egbuka right now.
    • Mitchell Evan’s put a block on someone that he drove them all the way out of bounds and to the bench. He absolutely destroyed the guy. He’s gonna be a beast for us if he keeps that up.
    • Yall... stop taking a sample size and projecting a role player into a permanent starter cuz he had a decent year after what, 5? Come on
