Even after subtracting his signing and roster bonus, he is still due 13 mil this year and 20 mil next.  Let's throw big wads of cash at an injury prone QB... Wait, where have I seen this before.....

In my opinion, I do not see them bringing in another big contract.  With Teddy, a rookie deal is manageable.  So if we were to take in Stafford, a move I think makes us an instant contender, we would have to renegotiate some contracts--mainly Stafford's.

Stafford makes more sense cost wise than Watson does, but that's on the theory that we draft our future "franchise" QB within the next three years.

Detroit is going to want a first rounder back so I am just really unsure what we do now because Detroit is in the QB market and picks #7 ahead of us.

Injury prone? He has played 16 games every year except one in last 10 years.

We probably could if we completely tricked out the defense and the oline and everyone stayed healthy . Basically become the Bears occasionally make the playoffs in the new format but always have early round exits .
