So speculation is a first and multiple other picks in 2-4. Hard pass. If were going to spend that many picks take the risk and add a 1st and try and trade up for a QB on a rookie contract.

I'm in the same boat.  Just stay at 8 and take bpa.  We need everything anyway so we can't go wrong unless it a RB.  Wouldn't that be a hoot.

I'd rather mortgage a future pick to move up from 8 than waste 8 on Stafford.

I think his realistic value is a 2nd 2021, 3rd 2022, & maybe a player or late round pick. No way a first but if they want one, give them 22 or 23 but not much else.

Here's the thing, people are so obsessed with QBs they are apparently a scarcity.  Trades and FA be damned! Yes, a LOT of QBs will be in different uniforms next season and a few that look like dumpster fire soap operas right now will be going nowhere.  It's the week leading up to the Super Bowl and 30 other teams are trying to figure out what went wrong.  Most of those organizations are looking at the HC and/or the QB.  So yes, just about every team is up for a new QB, especially those on the outside of the playoffs.  'You need a QB, you need a QB and your need a QB...EVERYONE needs a QB!'

I'm all for a BPA at #8 and that will be no less than Smith, Sewell, Surtain OR a QB.  Anything else makes zero sense.

I'm not even opposed to Pitts. Watching how Kelce absolutely decimated teams even when they plan for him shows how important that position really is. We have really suffered at the TE position since Greg broke his foot the first time.

The worst thing we could do AFTER already overpaying Teddy is overspending on ANOTHER FA QB . 

If Tepper allows his new GM to trade the farm for a 33 year old QB whose been injury prone in his later seasons then the Panthers deserve the  QB hell they put themselves in for the next several years 

 

The only way Stafford would be worth it is if we got him in a reasonable trade that didn't involve several high picks and definitely not even a single R1 pick.
