It’s kind of worth a thought , remember back when Washington took rg3 and Kirk cousins in the same draft ? They needed a qb and they knew drafting one could end up with a bust ,  so they drafted two which they hit hold on Kirk cousins which is one of the best qbs in the nfl .

as I’m sipping my black hazelnut coffee it brings me to a point , we need a quarterback and we need one now , so at 8 we take lance or mac jones and in the 3rd  or 4th we’ll take another qb that has potential like Jamie Newman or mond , or who ever you think can have a potential shot as a qb that’s high risk high reward , the chances of both sucking are slim , at worst you got a starter and a back up , we need a qb and we need one now ! Also another good thing is trade value if Mac jones looks amazing and is our starter but Newman has on fire in the preseason we can trade him for a higher value draft pick which is always good economics of buying low and selling high .

the problem with getting a qb in freeagency is we are often buying high instead of buying low if you buy a free agent qb get someone that was crap on a crap team like darnold or dalton and buy low .

Agree with most of this aside from Kirk being one of the best. Newman/Mond in the 3rd or later could make for a cheap backup for a while while they also develop into a potential starter. The first round QB would need to be a Jones or Fields/someone ready to start sooner than a Lance and we would have also needed to have traded away Teddy. You wouldn’t want to draft a 3rd stringer in the 3rd round (5th-7th might be acceptable).

The only problem I would see is is having too many holes to fill (OT, OG, MLB, QB, CB, FS, and a second DT with depth). It’s more than likely a luxury we don’t have at this moment...

Kirk Cousins is not one of the best QB's in the NFL.

Also, we have too many roster needs to draft multiple QB's in a gamble to hit on one. This is a good interior OL draft and we have severe needs in that area. Much better off spending our 2nd-7th round picks on guys like that than gambling on longshot QB's.

He does not have #8 value, but if their is a feeding frenzy, he could go off the board if there is a run.  I would certainly expect him to be gone by mid first round, and that is reaching.

Dude no such thing as reaching Watson didn’t go high in the draft same with rodgers and fricking mahomes dude there is no such thing as reaching dude , what do you base reaching off mock drafts ? Come on bro . Listen , if you like a player you need to take that player
