They really didn't though. Nate Burleson was sounding like a hater.

They really did though. The refs set the tone for the game in the first half.  KC not having their two starting tackles with Mike Remmers as the starting LT and it’s a recipe for disaster. Tampa’s defense is good, but they are not some historically elite super bowl championship level.

Complete teams win championships.  I had a feeling going into the game that the Chiefs D was going to be their down fall.

It wasn't. It was their OL. The Bucs averaged 31ppg this year. They scored 31 points. The Chiefs' offense fell flat on their face because Mahomes was running for his life from the moment the ball was snapped just like Cam in SB50.

Terry McAulay was criticizing the calls on his Twitter.

Others like Boomer, Chris Simms and many more had a thing or two to say as well.

I saw bad defense on one side, and outstanding defense on the other.

On an off note, I saw the Chiefs get away with several obvious holds. Blaming the refs in this game is weak! It takes away from an extraordinary defensive performance. That's just the way I see it.

There's a difference between blaming the refs and saying the refs were bad.

Poor officiating may have contributed, but there were many other factors which can be blamed on the Chiefs themselves.

With that said, the officiating in this game was horse sh-t, and that would have been true no matter who won the game.

I think that officiating will prove to be an excuse only on message boards.

Wouldn't bet on that.

Sports talk, whether it's online, on radio or on TV is likely to be talking about how that game was officiated for a while.

It doesn't mean the Chiefs didn't deserve to lose, but any criticism the NFL gets for how crappy a job those refs did is justified.
