You dont need a lot of money or high draft picks to pick good players. You just need to know how to recognize talent. John Schneider and Pete Carroll are just not good at that. That's not on Russell Wilson.

I was trying to avoid that subtle difference!  The fact that they were a yard and a dumb offensive play call away from turning their loss to a win, and we were a few of turnovers and a missed field goal away was bad enough.

Not going to read through this thread so sorry if this has been posted.  Just heard on Sirius that Wilson wants a say in personnel matters.  My guess is that he is interested  particularly  in the Oline.

I can understand making suggestions like "we need a better O-line", but I don't care who the player is. There's no way in hell I'd give them a say in the roster.

That is crazy. Sounds like Seattle will be going oline heavy if they want to avoid an implosion.

From the interview he did today, it sounds like he wants just that.

I bet it ends up happening.

It’s not unheard of for players to have roster input. 

Reid said Mahomes had a big say in the  Chiefs 1st round pick last year.

Jay Cutler was involved in head coach interviews.

I know Cam had a hand in recruiting some FA signings.

The precedent is there. Wilson just wants to take it another step.

Depends on what "say" entails for me. QB advocating for a free agent is fine but not suggesting cuts or playing GM.
