Panthers will "pay any price" for Watson (via Sportsnaut via PFN)

"What the Texans should do" and "What the Texans will do" are two separate lists that probably don't have much of anything in the way of common items between them.

They may be separate lists, but like a Venn diagram, they both overlap with "Trade Watson".

6 firsts and 6 seconds and 6 thirds + CMC, Burns, Chinn, Teddy, Brown, DJ For Watson. Would you do it?

This cant be done in the nfl unless we have 2 first round picks every year for the next 3 years

Three firsts, Derrick Brown, Donte Jackson, Teddy Bridgewater.  Does that get it done?

Draft a QB at #8 and TB is your bridge this year.  Two second year stars on defense (but not BB/JC).  I feel like that’s our starting point.

No it will not

McCaffrey, DJ Moore, Brian Burns, our next 3 1st round picks, 2022 2nd round pick, 2023 3rd round pick

Agreed.  Miami has two 1st’s and two 2nd’s *this year* plus Tua and plenty of young defensive studs.

If Miami is bidding against us...Brian Burns and/or Jeremy Chinn will have to be included.

And I doubt a $64 million RB is high on Houston’s list. Just saying.

I’d dangle CMC and Moore all day, but the rookie deals is what they’re going to value the most.  That’s what makes Burns, Brown, and Chinn so valuable.  Everyone loves CMC but I doubt a rebuilding franchise values a $64million running back that high.

Derrick Brown was the main reason our run defense was not terrible last year.  2019 was so frustrating Luke retired. I don’t want to see Watson on the sidelines watching teams slowly run down the field and control the clock. With YGM showing promise and Haynes developing, we honestly might be better off trading Burns instead of Brown. Burns will hold more value and probably be due a larger salary sooner....

    • The below link has all offensive snaps from three different Northwestern games. Fun to watch Slater. Admittedly not an O-line expert, but man does he move well. His second level run blocking is awesome, on top of really good pass blocking. He definitely feels like a drop in instant starter at LT. Would be a perfect fit for us. https://draftwire.usatoday.com/2021/02/27/2021-nfl-draft-rashawn-slater-northwestern-film-room-video/
    • Lawrence, Wilson, Fields, Lance, Pitts, Sewell, Slater, Chase There are my top 8 if I'm running the Panthers board. I don't see me trading out and passing on any of these guys.  If we traded down, maybe the Broncos at 9 move up in fear somebody else will. The Eagles at 12 for a QB, the Chargers at 13 for Sewell, or Patriots at 15 for a QB are the main teams I could see calling. Washington or Chicago may call, but they aren't going to like my price to move that far back. After those top 8, I would have in order- Parsons, Smith, Waddle, Horn, Surtain, Owusu Koromoah, Vera-Tucker to round out my top 15
