That Twitter account is Verge's account.  If you don't trust Verge at this point...

A.  Welcome to the Huddle, new person

B.  You haven't paid any attention

I am relatively new, but I assumed from the way people are reacting they trust Verge. So I will too.

Yes, and people have to remember this about Verge--Scouts (and friends) do not predict--they do not have inside information beyond the internal grapevine.  So she shares what she hears--and things change from day to day, as we all know.  But at the end of the day, it is like this-=-there is a fan level where people with a website repeat each other based on suppositions and what they appear to be good fits, and there is the underground NFL--where the people in the business engage is more informed chatter.  That is more likely to be factual in the end, than listening to the draft carnies on the websites that compete for clicks.

Cutting Cam and Starting Allen would have given you the same production at a fraction of the cost.

Allen had already proven he was not a starting QB even when healthy. Cam’s health was the question. Rolling with Allen as the starter was never an option.

Just now, Jared Patterson said:

So are we officially in trade talks with teams about Bridgewater or is this all just preliminary discussions and hypotheticals?

I think we have been in trade talks that have been on and off throughout the offseason. You get a sense of who is still in or not by this point.

    • After last season, it was the same question. And the answer most people came to was "If he doesn't make the playoffs, he's gone." He made the playoffs. No matter how it was done, we made it to the playoffs. He's safe. He's going to have a chance to keep working this out, even if next season isn't a playoff one.  I think we'll do better next year than we did this season. There's something being built here.
    • The NBA is a very fickle league. Kon is one of the hottest rookies in years and beyond just his play on the court he is a very steady competitor and that translates to the rest of the team. That has been a glaring absence with the culture of this franchise through the bulk of the LaMelo Ball years that's just being completely blunt and realistic. The enigma of LaMelo Ball is he is entering year 6 and still either red hot or ice cold. We need him to find that sweet spot. Logic dictates the Hornets will want to see this core again next year. But the clock is beyond ticking at this point. It's put up or shut up. Especially considering what the Thunder managed to do recently. I'm hopeful they can keep these wins rolling in and get some much needed playoff experience under their belts which will help substantially.
    • I think as long as the Panthers are competitive with Canales they should keep him. Pepper needs to repair his/the teams image as a place prized free agents aren't hesitant to consider. Just dont do any crazy poo for a few years.
