His theory: we are using Teddy in a trade for Watson....

As is Person --given they have the No. 8 pick and while they have received calls about incumbent starting QB Teddy Bridgewater, they won’t make any early offseason moves with him.

I’m scared they wait to long then we will get stuck and not get any compensation. Then we have to just cut him

Better informed people than Sileo have said the Texans aren't interested in Watson.

I really don’t think any of these jack wagons are very informed. Everyone is just talking out of their ass these days.

Teddy is not gone yet because we are waiting to see if Houston wants him. We also save more if we trade him post June 1st. I don't see any other reason to hold onto him if teams are offering any kind of assets.

Well a big reason is because we don’t have another QB on the roster to take his place. Say we trade Teddy tomorrow. Then we never get Watson, and then every good QB is taken ahead of us. Then what?

Then we're no longer in QB purgatory. We're either forced to find someone better or forced to tank for Howell. Either is better than another year of Teddy.

I'd rather take a shot on the unknown then have a guaranteed ceiling on another boring, likely painful, season simply to have a known quantity. I'm not an NFL player of course but during my many years playing sports it was frustrating to watch the same.players make the same mistakes over and over again.

    • The panthers are such a trash organization at this point that all the huddle can do is argue about which panthers team is historically the worst…good times.
    • Well, hope they're not worried about a torn Labrum or Rotator Cuff, as someone who went through that myself, I know those don't have anything show up on X-Rays but from the MRI, so this is kinda a nothing update, hope it's not a tear or his season is already over if they decide to do surgery now. Which is basically what would be needed to get him to 100% for the start of next season's training camp if it's a labrum.  If he plays the season with it and then does surgery, he's not going to be ready for camp and probably not the start of the season either.
    • I always try to not pay much attention to a team’s preseason win/loss record. The 1982 Washington and 2021 LA Rams both lost every game in the preseason and went on to win the Super Bowl, whereas the 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Cleveland Browns both won every game in reason and went on to lose every regular season game. There’s many examples of teams that lose in preseason that go on to have good seasons, but equally there are teams that lose in preseason and that continues in the regular season. Which will we be?  I think our floor is a handful of wins, while our ceiling will probably be around the 9-10 win mark. The latter will require significant improvement from the whole team and coaching staff, and will also need Bryce to play like the QB we drafted him to be. I want to be optimistic and predict a winning season, but it’s really difficult as a Panthers fan!
