These definitely aren't big names or huge salaries.

Damn quick out of the gate though. Pretty much nobody expected that.

I definitely had zero expectations of big names given it's year 2 of a rebuild. I like the fact that we have moved quickly on getting depth at our biggest position of need (outside of QB). I bet we slow play most other positions.

Cross the tier 1 guys off our wish list and get cracking on our tier 2 guys before they get picked over. Nice strategy since we had so many roster holes to fill.

I am not extremely happy with this---I wanted our own G Miller or Austin Blythe (Rams).  I can say that we keep getting former Viking OL and they are known for sucking there.  Maybe he is better at C than G-I dunno.  I am happy that we are addressing the OL.

My worry was just that -- the Vikings don't have a good track record with their offensive line spin-offs, even beyond the turds they've dropped on us over the years.

Six games with the Jets last season after being released... not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

NFL network just said there are a "crap load" of teams asking about Curtis Samuel.

He had a helluva year when someone finally figured out how to use him. If he gets on a team like the Ravens, he's going to be a madman out there.  His abilities and a hyper-mobile QB... scary.

Im assuming he will be signing with Buffalo or Washington soon, as per usual.

    • I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

    • Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
