This is what happens when player has more power than owner. Billionaire won’t accept it. Watson appears to be a stand up guy. We know Easterby and Cal are dirty scoundrels. Timing is too coincidental, they want to sink him.

I still don't understand this argument one bit, it literally makes zero sense for the Texans ownership/leadership to be behind it whether true or not.

In what way would this benefit McNair?

If true, it would get his QB suspended or worse

If false, it destroys his trade value for a while and likely hurts it regardless.

They'd have been better off keeping it quiet, trading him for a ransom, and then letting all this go public a few days later and let the other team deal with it while you reap the rewards from the trade.

Does anybody understand what Houston is doing the last couple of years?

This is a power situation it’s not about winning for the McNair’s. Ego is a real thing.

People keep talking about this "not making sense" for the Texans?

What moves have they been making over the last two years or so that HAVE made sense? They get no credit for firing O'Brien after letting him absolutely tank the roster after promoting him to HC/GM.

After all the JR stuff, there is no way Tepper can bring this guy here

there would be protests in front of the stadium every day

and the local press would harass Tepper to no end

it’s over

He could, but would be a huge hypocrite as he scrubbed the organization of everything JR as some sort of moral virtue signaling to the community as the new owner.  I guess billionaires can be complete hypocrites though, right?  He can employ womanizers (putting it mildly) as long he, himself, isn't one.  There's the fine print.

& moreover the Texans fired O'Brien after only 4 games into the  2020 season.

another hasty move or better yet let's say reaction

Feels like a publicity grab. Almost like someone intentionally wanted this lawyer to get his hands on it bc they knew how flamboyant he would be about it.

We’re talking about rape and sexual assault here. This is very fuging serious and this lawyer is doing a Facebook press conference? This is so fuging weird. Not to mention he drunk posts this story on IG at 11 pm at night and talks poo to people commenting that he’s a former marine. The whole thing is a giant mess.

I guess 'alleged' at this point, but if true, calling him a womanizer is putting it mild.  You do know the allegations...especially the one the came out today?  If true, then Tepper would be 100% hypocritical to even think about signing Watson here, civil suit or not.

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
