Hes borrowing form 2022, just check the cap hits there. I think the plan is to roll-over as much as possible, just my guess for all these low 1st yr cap hit. Fox has the 1st yr highest cap hit form the FA class, 2.5. Cap space from 2022 was 100 million before FA, now its 67 million.

Wasn't there like a dozen posts before the start of free agency from people whining about how the Panthers never have cap room? Somehow we go on a free agent spending spree, tag Moton and still have among the most cap space in the league.

If anyone needed a reminder, it's great to have Hurney's stench out of Charlotte.

we're in good shape 9th most cap space in the league

Don’t sign anyone else and use that money to front load DJ Moore and Moton’s contracts. Move on to 2022 and secure a QB through free agency or draft.

They should be able to extend Moton, whew

Extending Moton will save cap not cost cap. First year cap costs on several year extensions are always cap friendly since the signing bonus is prorated. Unless it is front loaded where most contracts are back loaded.
