It’s not true that NFL teams don’t think like that. IMHO, Chase has a higher ceiling than Sewell. Just one man’s opinion but I think Chase is so far above Higgins and Boyd, especially Boyd who they are paying a lot of money. Jonah Williams might be as good as Sewell. Boyd and Higgins are not as good as Chase. Chase could be Moss level good

Again, teams should hopefully be smart and know that they would be better off with Chase and say Leatherwood who could play G and take over for Reiff, if he moves on.

I don’t think I’m talking Madden moves here, just think moving Williams to G would be a waste considering the OL talent in day 2 this year. You have to take into consideration the strengths of the draft.

You act like the class is devoid of WR talent. Probably 15-ish of the top 100 players in this draft are WRs. It is much easier to evaluate and develop a WR than OL today with the limited contact practices.

They aren't better off with Chase and Leatherwood. Why is it a waste to play Jonah Williams at guard and then move him when Reiff moves on? Or just play Reiff at guard? That makes no sense if you're advocating they do the same with Leatherwood.

I think it’s going to be a panic for qb early on, I got Sewell as the best player even better than Lawrence . Sewell would be a highway robbery if we were to get him , he is the best lineman I have ever seen after watching his film the man is a freak at all levels , I just hope he falls . I’d be fine with him or pitts . I believe we should treat darnold like he’s our draft pick being 23 years old he’s basically a rookies age with nfl experience guy was great in college and showed flashes with a terrible jets team give him weapons and a line and we’ll see full potential. I think this panther team will make a jump and be a play off team and think we are one year removed from becoming a contender

Penei's "little" brother Noah also turned a lot of high school kids in Utah into grease spots. Too bad there arent anymore Sewell's in the pipeline. Each version seems to be better than the previous.

Where is he at??

Future FB, special teams players??

We're in a terrific position to build up our o-line with this draft. Our first pick could reasonably be the best LT in the draft, and our second pick could be the best OG prospect in Alijah Vera-Tucker. Building a great o-line will help us to properly evaluate Darnold, and he won't have the excuse of the o-line not protecting him. Protect Darnold and if dump him if he poops the bed this coming season.

    • Things like this happen everyday. We live in a social media driven society where loyalty is a foreign concept.
    • If you draft a guy who is healthy and has no concerns about that whatsoever and he goes out and tears his ACL in his first few games in the regular season on a physical play that's a freak accident. But when you trade up to draft an RB who is already rehabbing from a recent ACL tear and he spends the next several months continuing his rehab only to tear the same ACL again after less than a handful of regular season carries in a non contact circumstance that is no freak accident. That is a textbook example of why you do not do what we did. Particularly for what is now a plug and play position. And when you have the highest paid OL in the league over the next two years. None of that makes any logical sense. Legitimately it is and was some Scott Fitterer type foolishness. Now as for XL. The guy has not been committed to his craft. I think anyone with eyes on the situation can and would recognize that. However the warning signs were there. One season of legit production raw prospect that we knew would take time to develop etc. But Morgan and Bryce Young's own father were very high on him. I think in some capacity the reality of our limitation at QB is entering into the equation. Even TMac got a lot of flak over the course of his rookie season for not being able to haul in all of Bryce's passes. At the end of the day our fourth year QB also needs to do his part to maximize the talent we have available. As far as this year. Again. WR round 1 boils down to where are we going to get the touches for the rookie? That would require eating into not only our 8th overall picks touches but also our #2 WR whom oh yeah by the way was UNDRAFTED. I am happy to discuss WR prospects here. I was thrilled we invested what we did last year in TMac because it needed to be done and it made sense from all angles. But nowhere is it written in stone that you cannot draft a good or great WR outside of the first round. Except in the Panthers building apparently. That is not a good reflection on our scouts and front office let me tell ya. Because there's no way on this earth we are going to get back to relevancy and legitimate contender status if we can't pick some gems in the later rounds. Simple and plain.
    • This is pretty accurate our offense needs more juice. I love Cooker but he’s not enough XL ummm we’ll see this year hopefully the third year WR thing hits him and he plays better but still not enough. Honestly we need look at the Eagles they just adds Wicks and Hollywood Brown to that core. That shows the level of talent needed to compete at a championship level this coming season. And this below is the real problem KC doesn’t seem to add that much to our offense. We Makai Lemon or defense at 19
