Sorry but taking the 4th QB of the draft at pick 8 is terrible no matter what the QB talent is, especially one with throwing flaws like Fields who I think is closer to Jalen Hurts than anyone else

If Sam sucks we'll be in a good position to take a QB high next year

I really wanna see all these throwing flaws you speak of i really do . How somebody with crazy amount of throwing flaws  didn’t throw a crazy amount of ints while he was in college ? Fields gonna make a lot of people look stupid for passing him up .

Having a top flight Oline like OSU had, can hide a lot of flaws. That hitch in his throwing motion won't go over in the NFL. He won't have the time he had in college.

. Hence, teams got a little leery about him.

If Philip rivers can make it with his throwing motion anyone can i think that’s lazy if you don’t take someone cause there throwing motion don’t fit you. A small part of the reason  Aaron Rodgers fell in his draft and he fixed it . Throwing motions can be worked out and his isn’t even that bad it’s flick of a wrist with a slight quark

Gotta give you Rivers. But just watch Fields motion. It has a hitch in it. It adds almost a half a second to his time. Trevor, and Wilson were at .4 seconds. Jones, and Trey were at .5. Fields was at .8.

That doesn't seem like much, but it can be the difference between a clean throw, and one under duress.

Seems piddily, but hey, he fell.

Your point is valid i just don’t see it being a huge problem i don’t love his motion either it has to grow on me  but man he has crazy arm talent that i think is being over looked he haven’t even peaked yet he still learning the position . And passing him up to  Bank on darnold is silly and will cost a lot of jobs if it turn into teddy round 2

The one thing I dont know but I feel certain is Pitts was our first choice and Sewell second which is who I preferred. And I really thought Detroit was gonna be the first team to take a defensive player and not us. But the definite is we picked our top rated defensive player on our board.

    • Completely agreed.  TBH, we have had so many great players that are in my favorite list, and I hate to narrow it down to one, but Cam is it.  Which is crazy, because you would think it would be more of the guys I grew up watching, but no.  Cam was the single most impactful player to ever out on a football uniform imo.  And like I said in an earlier post, I always felt a kinship with him in a lot of ways…  the way he was treated and judged for the off the field stuff in Florida and having to overcome all of that and fight show at back.  And although I am not a black man, I have always been welcomed by and accepted more by minorities, and thus, I know what it’s like to be judged by appearances rather than the content of your character and who you actually are.  I know what it’s like to be stereotyped and written off or mistreated for your mistakes.  I know what it’s like to be held to a different standard while your peers don’t have to meet that same standard.  So I always related to that.  And the way he came in and just electrified the whole franchise, man…  I still think about it often how much it sucks that because of how talented he was, our staff out so much on him and that ultimately cut his career short.  You’re right, there will never be another Cam…  I think Josh Allen is the closest thing we will see for a long time, but Allen is not the running threat Cam was.  Cam could run you over or around you.  That was THE absolute funnest time to watch our team ever.
    • It definitely needs more specificity than is baked in now.
    • The weirdest encounter I had with a pro athlete was waiting in line at security at Mile High Stadium when I used to get the company suite tickets almost every week because I was the only employee based in Colorado. There's a small checkpoint accessing the suites that virtually no one knows about that you can usually squirt right through. I was standing there and looked over my shoulder and there stands John fuging Elway waiting in line behind me.  This was during the The Golden Calf of Bristol season right before he became GM. I just said "They make YOU go through security?" He's like "Yeah, ain't that a bitch. I literally have a statue out front and I gotta go through security like everybody else." I've heard mixed things about him but he was super nice and down to earth with me that day.
