sorry, I can't spin it as a positive that he spent the whole offseason away from football. Watching you tube and netflix all day. You think Cam Newton to Tom Brady took entire off seasons off of football? Especially coming off of the season he did? With all the issues to his game at this level? I don't want him obsessing over last season. Dude has a ton of work however he needs to be doing to get better. Lot of getting better is the work put in on their own time and in the offseason. The work guys do in the offseason is often documented and known. It's normal. -

I get that he would fill a need if he pans out. But the thing is, we don't have to fill every single need this year. And I don't think we should be trying to. If this year's class is so weak at that position, that the best prospect we can get is a 4th or later guy with character issues.. meh. Get somebody you feel better about at a different position of need, and worry about pairing a DT with Brown next year. -

Based on quite a bit of history, so is the NFL. At the end of the day, a lot of the responsibility for development lies on the individual. You just can't save some folks from themselves.
