< 3.5% of the total cap…combined. Maximizing Reddick/Burns in 2021.

Honestly there probably isn't a better Rush Duo in the nfl. Both are probably going to get paid next year.

Add em to the list of players we are going to have to pay sometime. To be honest. Reddick, for having 12.5 sacks, we got him cheap.

Do you have a Cap notification on your phone? Every thread that even mentions Cap, and they you are.

Do you do this for every team? Or are we the only one who gets to revel in your brilliance?

I just can't believe you aren't working for an actual NFL team. Not here with us mere mortals. Surely there must be something better you could be doing with all that knowledge? Maybe teaching?

Nobody like this Toomers brat and he's not terribly smart. Best thing is to ignore it.

I concur.  The entire DL has quite the potential.  YGM, Derrick Brown, Daquan Jones, Morgan Fox, Roy Marquis Haynes, Nixon.  I mean, take away Burns and Reddick and we have would still have an average-ish line.

Thanks, @ellisfor a valuable post.  You are not only right in your qualification of speaking about THIS year's cap cost, but , for me, you gain bonus points for your gracious and patient reactions to the repeated nit-pickings of an insufferable troll.

Your thread, instead of starting a discussion of what great value we have from our edge rushers, immediately got derailed by an individual whose only goals are to see his name in print, and to convince himself (by repetition alone) that he's right.

    • Then why are they paying QBs so much compared to other players? QB are making so much it's harder and harder to pay other players. If a guy plays like 1 of 11 then there pay should be in line with that. Not all QB should be breaking the bank just because your next or a former 1st rounder There is a reason they say try to win it all on a QB rookie deal because after that they can cripple a team on what it can do. I would rather not do that for a bottom 1/3 QB. Cam and Jake have been the only QBs worth investing long term into this team has had I would rather not lower the bar. If a guy don't got the IT factor and it shows I would rather not invest long term into them and keep looking

    • I mean, I hear what y'all are saying, but Derrick could have been positive without being negative.  He essentially accused people of not seeing Bryce's improvement because of their desire to not be wrong. He could've kept it about Bryce and the team. For example, he could've said: "Bryce has made strides, and we believe in him. This coming season, his continued improvement will turn a lot of people into believers."  That would've been supportive of his teammate and sent a message to the doubters. That being said, his tact almost summoned and left the door ajar for more skepticism. That's my take anyway. Bryce has improved from the bottom to perhaps skirting the line between the bottom third and mid-third at best...after three seasons. We've all seen it. Yay! In my mind, Bryce has still got a long way to go and a short time to get there, but my expectations are top five--at least top 10--always! Yes, I am a fan, so there's that, but I don't believe it's unreasonable to expect excellence. Hopefully the Panthers FO has the same mindset (and that doesn't even necessarily have anything to do with what we gave up to acquire him). That is the lens I'm looking through. Derrick Brown has his homer glasses on. He just needs to be more diplomatic and thoughtful with his words in my opinion, but I get it that he's a good teammate.
