If it was my 72 year old mother who is morbidly obese and is generally unhealthy and poor?

I'd say that sucks but that's life. She had a long and somewhat interesting life.

Everyone is going to die some day from something. Nobody is promised anything.

Your cavalier attitude towards life is appalling. You are a reprehensible human being, who will endanger everyone around you. Please go away, and spew your ignorance elsewhere.

It's not cavalier but yes I do think people's lives under the age of 50 are more valuable than those over 50 and I'm over 50.

That's just a fact. They have way more life ahead of them. What honestly is the quality of life for the average 85 year old in America?

I'm 51. I understand I don't have that much time left. I much rather leave the twenty thirty something kids a robust economy and life than to wring my hands over a virus THAT I HAD that is 99.9% survivable.

Will I distance? Sure when possible but I'm not going to avoid planes and elevators.

Will I wear a mask? If I have to but the data is showing it's not very effective but I'll give it a better than zero percent chance.

You sure brushed over Ivermectin didn't you?

Just running the greatest hits of right-wing retorts today arent you?

No, I consider Jama or other non government medical sources credible when it comes to this pandemic.

The left are the ones that have politicized this virus and blown it up into a bigger deal than it is.

Sure when it first hit and nobody knew much about it caution was definitely in order. But it seems to me like Florida got it right after all.

if it's less lethal then it's weaker. i don't care if the whole country gets something if it does not kill them.

Also seems hospitalizations are down even though infections are up. describes weaker.

it spreads easier and is more lethal for small children (who don't have the option to get vaccianted currently).....

that doesn't describe weaker.  It describes a variant that is stronger against a segment of the population that is heading into a school year.

Literally vacationing right now in Florida and every time the news airs it is talking about how hospitals are overwhelmed and trying to show folks how dangerous the virus is.

Even more so than in SC.

You're trying to force your beliefs over knowledge and it's pretty gross tb100.

Also, hospitalizations are down in general due to folks getting vaccinated as it doesn't prevent infection but rather gives your body a chance to fight and win.

Hospitalizations are down because over half the country is vaccinated… I feel better knowing you are just trolling and don’t even believe your own poo you are posting.

It's like people were warned that if they didn't take the virus seriously and work together to prevent its spread that it would inevitably mutate which would lead to a second pandemic.

    • this     I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who will run up their blood pressure to get to the grocery store 30 seconds faster or are racing to get to work like it won’t be there at 8:02.   The only thing I’ve ever done that I think added more years to my life besides quitting smoking, was to learn to go with the flow behind the wheel.
    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
