@SBBlue This is "lashing out".

Dude, you were talking about homers and crayons and sht.  I know you don't use foul language, you like to imply your insults, and are actually good at it.

Why are you surprised people get irritated with you?

I want to make sure I understand this.

Are saying that Will Grier entering the HOF is as likely as "the line plays well enough to get the job done"?

Because one sounds impossible (Grier HOF), where the other sounds more than possible (serviceable line).

We kept 3 starters, 4 if you include Scott.  We brought in 5 new lineman.

The 2 lineman we let go weren't awesome last year.  One is jobless and the other is a backup for the colts.

You hate the 5 lineman we brought in so bad, that you are near certain the the oline is going to suck, when it was largely considered average last year?  It just sounds extreme.

Extreme is your habit of constantly trying to pick a fight with literally anyone that has even the slightest of differing viewpoints. I mean, damn man. It's okay to disagree.

Fans see a problem. And they want it fixed NOW. No patience

It’s crazy how quickly people forgot how decimated this roster was before last season.

the only postition that’s was shored up was rb with mccafrey.

wr they had to bring in anderson

defense had to be completely replaced with the only “answer” already on the roster being burns and shaq

qb

o line was moton and paradis

On paper, for an elite line, yes.  We did not acquire top FA's or use 1st or 2nd round  draft picks on elite olinesman.

Instead we chose Horn and Marshal, and trade downs allowed us to get Tremble and others.

We money-balled the oline with BC, Deonte and Moore.  We do not know how its going to work out.

I wouldn't use an analogy that compares the linesman we drafted to sht.

I wouldn't say that trying to figure out the best position for our lineman as throwing sht.

Who did you want in FA?  Who did you want in the draft?

This is basically a stream of excuses if this doesn't work out. The truth is, it will loon extremely foolish if it doesn't pan out and it will make them look like fuging geniuses if it does.

Who did I want them to draft??? Literally top 3 rounds 100% OL. Not a joke. I said that pre-draft.

We had a ton of holes going into this season. We couldn’t fix them all. OL was the main one left out this year. The rebuild is a multi year effort.

If we drafted 3 OL this year you would be screaming about the secondary right now.

Before last year. Folks were saying "Worst team in Franchise History". Now, one short year later it's "Oline sux, QB sux, Rhule is on the hot seat, Brady is on the hot seat." Like it is only supposed to take 1 year for a rebuild. lol

And the funniest part? It's those folks, who all off-season, were telling us to hold our horses. To be realistic.

Now they are the loudest ones, complaining the rebuild ain't finished fast enough. Ya gotta love the Huddlez. Where patience is on the endangered list.

It's year two of a rebuild. Of a team that was bereft of talent. You can go on the warpath if you wish. Cooler heads will wait for this rebuild to be done before we start our lashing out.

Besides. Weren't you telling anyone who'd listen, all off-season, to temper their expectations for this year? Now? You seem to not follow your own advice. Why should we?

in the NFL, a team has a LT or it doesn’t

in the NFL, a team has a QB or it doesn’t

Those that do, win and those that do not,  lose

Do the Panthers  have  LT or QB?

 No one knows

Tepper invested 65 million in Rhule and Tepper  talks patience   I don’t believe it

if this conversation is still being had in year three, Rhule won’t be here and he shouldn’t be. He passed on LTs. He passed on QBs.  This isn’t the NCAA where you can coach up meager talent and win.

So, let's examine this statement shall we?

WR room-upgraded

RB room-maybe upgraded

TE room-upgraded

QB-maybe, maybe not

DLine-upgraded

LB-upgraded

CB-upgraded

S-upgraded

But sure, meager talent. lol

It's year 2 of a rebuild. I'd say have some patience. But yeah, that doesn't seem to be in huge supply right now.

Edit to add: I forgot the TEs. Bad Hubby.

Yep. Our roster on paper was perhaps the worst in the league last season on top of a new coach and so many restrictions on practice due to Covid. It was as difficult a situation as a coach could come into.

The team honestly had the talent of a 3-4 win team, in addition to playing in a division with 2 first ballot Hall of Famers and a former MVP. And we didn't have out best player in CMC for lost of the season.

It was a testament to Rhule and the coaching staff to have us in most every game. They certainly weren't perfect, but Rhule gave every indication last year he was prepared and could handle being a NFL coach

That being said, I don't feel bad for Rhule bc he is being paid handsomly to deal with any adversity that comes his way.

And the Teddy decision is fair game 100%. That was a flawed decision from the start. The only positive is that Rhule didn't compound the decision by doubling down.

Rhule has done a great job adding talent to this team relative to how bare the cupboard truly was at the start of last season.

The questions that remain, specifically at LT and QB are legitimate, and this team will not win consistently until long-term answers are found there. If is was that easy, every team would have it solved and it wouldn't be a deciding factor in winning vs losing.

It's not like Rhule and Fitterer are sitting on their hands. The intention was to make a run at Watson until these issues arose. We tried for Stafford, and I'm glad we didn't give up what the Rams did. The Panthers were going to draft Sewell before the Lions did. I think they viewed Christensen as good as the guys in that 2nd tier. BTW, Christensen looked great in the team drill reps I saw, although it was against non 1st team guys. It will be interesting to see how he fares against better competition and in the joint practices and preseason games.

My biggest takeaway from camp last night was that the defense is completely revamped and it will be a disappointment if they are not top 10.  The secondary especially should be lights years better than the last few years.

CMC, Robby, and DJ are elite, pro-bowl caliber playmakers.  All 3 are threats to score every time they touch the ball.  That shouldn't be understated.. There are also many other options on offense that can contribute at the skill positions.

Darnold looks like a starting QB out there in terms of his command of the offense and arm talent. I'm not ready to crown him but I don't think he will be what holds the team back.

So yeah compared to last season I think we are much better on paper.

Even for the offensive line, which is still a huge question mark, especially on the left side, we have better overall depth and a stud in Moton. I still worry about having 5 adequate starters, but that is what training camp is for.

I firmly believe will win 10 games and compete for the playoffs if the offensive line approaches average.

The rest of the talent is there, which is impressive considering where we started last season.

Fair, reasonable, and spot on. If we can get folks to remember we are still in a rebuild. Maybe the anxiety level with subside a bit?
