Who is the backup QB ?

Who do you think gets to be the backup QB ?  I once thought it would be Walker but now Grier seems to be a bit better .  Walker looks more to make a big play down field and is quicker with his feet  but Grier is more the pocket passer and takes what the defense gives him .  Fits may look to make a deal with a team needing  a backup QB. What is your thoughts ?

Grier makes more sense for the backup job. He will take less risks and try not to to lose any games with mistakes. You want that more than explosive riskiness in a backup IMO, especially now that we might have a decent defense. The way Teddy plays is ideal for a backup. Take what the defense gives you and let your teammates make plays to sneak a win out. Grier fits that mold the most out of the 2.

If it were me I would absolutely keep 3 QBs given the uncertainty surrounding protocols this season.

and there is an expanded practice squad.  We should just throw one on the practice squad.   And probably keep him distanced in this covid world.  That why we don’t have to run a wildcat game if covid attacked the QB room.

Grier was not bad last night, and PJ is just not an NFL QB.  Grier is not much, but I think he got better with confidence.   After the TD run, he seemed to see the light a bit.  I dunno.  They are both inconsistent and not real good.

Fun Fact:  I had forgotten, but Grier came in 4th in the Heisman voting.  And now you know.

Grier did a better job in the preseason, but Rhule plays favorites like no one I’ve ever seen in the NFL (even Rivera). He will cut Grier and make Walker the backup because he went to Temple.

And, before the homers try to discredit the first sentence, enjoy this

You realize that that's not really proving anything. I think Rhule just goes with the best option. You'll see this when he picks Grier.

    • The league would protect him.  The amount of poo Jerry Jones has had exposed and got away with?  The amount of poo Stephen Ross has got away with?  How long Dan Snyder got away with essentially fuging sex trafficking employees and poo???????  Taking down JR was a hit job.  You think the other 31 owners, especially the older ones aren’t blathering, blatant, ignorant ass, bigoted rich racists who have committed far worse things than Blue Jean Fridays?  The ones I named above have DEFINITELY did worse than what JR was accused of.  And do you think guys like Steve Smith would’ve been viewing him as a father figure if they felt that’s who he was?  JR pissed the league off with that last lockout situation and they made him pay.  They lined a new guy up to join their billionaire boys club in Tepper, and they prolly slid a pretty penny to Jonathan Jones to write the “expose,” to get JR out of here.  Again, all the owners I’ve listed above have been verified on record for doing worse poo, yet they’re still running their organizations, unquestioned.  They hand-picked Tepper long before JR was forced out, so he isn’t going anywhere.  Sadly.  fug the NFL.  (Also, to be clear, it’s always fug racism, bigotry, and sexual exploitation - not ever excusing it.  Just making the point that the NFL isn’t operating under this clear standard of justice applied to each and every case)
    • I was still in the throes of a contentious divorce and my job at the time had me work on Sundays.  At the beginning of the season I tried to still work around Sundays so I could see our games.  I think after Bryce came back from the benching, I said fug it.  First time in my life I intentionally didn’t watch our games, even through the Atlanta finale.  In the past, even if we didn’t live up to expectations, I would watch to still support and at least analyze player development, strengths and weaknesses, coaching, etc., but Bryce makes all of that a moot point, so I stopped watching. Again, this is asinine,  it if he is retained (still can’t believe this is even a possibility of a conversation due to how shitty our organization has become under Tepper), I will NOT watch next season until he is gone.
    • Live look at Bryce playing ping pong.
