Zod's Week 1 Wish List - NY Jets

Here is a list of 5 specific things I would like to see from today's Jets-Panthers matchup. I will go back after the game and see which boxes I can check off. 

 

 Panthers defense tightens up on 3rd downs and gets off the field. 

 Adequate protection from the offensive line.

 A CMC touchdown

 A Sam Darnold to Robby Anderson followed by much Jets taunting

 More than one Brian Burns sacks on Wilson.

Those first two really are key to winning today! I'd add "Our D gets multiple turnovers and our offense protects the ball."

They really are. No one really talks about how horrible the panthers defense was at getting off the field last year. Was a huge factor

Chinn and Horn on the back end will hopefully stop the use of so much soft zone on 3rd down. Add some extra pressure from Reddick or Fox and it would seem  we will be better at that this year

Unfortunately, for some reason, the NFL has decided to crack down on "taunting".

1 INT by the secondary

No Turnovers by the offense.

This is set in stone brother.  I can feel a multi sack game coming from burns

Definitely one of the reasons we got Horn at 8. I think Rhule even mentioned a good CB helping our defense get off the field on 3rd down. Huge weakness that has been addressed. We had a solid offseason considering our weaknesses at QB, Offensive Line, Linebacker, Secondary, TE, and Slot WR going in…

I want to be in the redzone and have our QB throw a TD to the TE.   

And then, over the course of the season, repeat that a dozen times.

Well he did try but he missed. 

Still, that connection will happen eventually.
