Honestly feel bad for the guy. It makes no since why he's still there. They suck. He's aging and will age out before they get rebuilt. He's a huge cap hit. They should've shopped him and given him a chance to go to a contender. Basically like the Lions did with Stafford.

And there's your problem. He's like north of 40 mil dead cap hit. Didn't they already take a huge cap hit from Julio? Can't do it twice in the same offseason.

They could have shopped him and grabbed a QB of the future. But if things keep going the way they went yesterday, they look like they will have that option in this years draft too.

He's gotta pay for those veneers on his fuging horse teeth somehow.

Except the market was over crowded and they would rather have a generational tight end at this point.

Look, the guy was good to great as a QB. While he might deserve to go out like this, he's raking in some big bucks by staying put there. Now if we can just treat him like that two more times...

I would've preferred to see Josh Rosen take this beating. Can't stand that smug prick.

    • https://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/3533281/red-hot-stankoven-grows-into-1-st-year-as-hurricanes-2-nd-line-center RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — It had been a while since the Carolina Hurricanes had finished practice, with players coming and going from the locker room. Yet Logan Stankoven was still on the ice, leaving a crowd of reporters patiently waiting at his locker. Such is the dynamic for the 23-year-old as the Eastern Conference's top seed heads into Round 2 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs to face the Philadelphia Flyers. Stankoven has been rolling at nearly a point-per-game pace going back to mid-March, including scoring in every game of Carolina's first-round sweep of Ottawa. Beyond the immediacy of that spotlight, though, is the other piece of Stankoven's story: the Hurricanes are betting he can keep growing into the role as second-line center, coming after spending multiple seasons searching for an answer there.
