Err Darnolds quick release is basically the only thing holding the OL together. Show those replays of all our 2 yard runs, especially on the goal line...ya know the goal line....the place that shows a good OL as bein ga good OL.

OL hasn't been as bad as we thought but its far from good.

We got to Winston and yes they have a good OL. Our DL balled out. So what?

So Jaemis is running for his life but they're the ones with a good OL?

The Saints were missing a bunch of starters

They were missing their center on the Oline.   Last week we were missing our RG.  Today we were out a LG and LT for a bit and the RG just recovered from a bad case of covid.

Are you saying 1 injury on the saints OL causes it to collapse?

Because it collapsed today.

I’d trade our OL for theirs in a heart beat.

Yeah I guessed that.

That would be like our OL losing Moton because there’s no one else on our OL of McCoy’s caliber.

Huh?  Are you saying McCoy is the only highly rated lineman on that line?

My point is that if our line performed like the Saints line today, THIS board would be melting down with people saying that OUR OL is garbage by the very people who are defending the GARBAGE play of the Saints offensive line today.

And that is the only way to describe what we saw from the all mighty Saints OL today....garbage.

The Saints OL is way better than ours. We just have a much better DL than they do, or almost any team in the league for that matter. I’d probably give the Bucs the advantage. Maybe one or two other teams. Not many.

Part of our run game woes is that Brady has been overly predictable in his playcalling. It’s not very fair to expect an o-line to create push against a stacked box because the defense knows we’re running it with CMC. He needs to get more creative there and I guarantee it’ll open up more running opportunities at the goal line.

If your line is good enough you can announce your play and still exert your will on them.

Probably.   But its a battle of the trenches.  We won it on both sides of the ball today.

My god, you have to be a homer to think that our OL is as good as the Saints. You of course completely avoided my question about our DL and how much better they are than their DL.

Do you think that they game planned around their OL as much as we did and do you think that our DL/front 7 was better than theirs?

Never mind. This is freaking pointless. We have the better DL and they absolutely got the better of the Saints OL. We do not have a good OL, period. We have game planned around our OL. Sure didn’t seem like they were ready for our DL.

So you are saying the the Saints DL is garbage because they didn't dominate our bad OL?

No one was out on their DL.

Yeah, the OL run blocking has not been as good as I would like.  I think our short yardage / goal line push needs to improve.  But the ubertalented CMC seems to make a lot of those issues just disappear.

Blocking is kinda a one on one thing and we don't have the best talent.

Yep. I’d take their OL in a heartbeat. I’d take our DL in a heartbeat. If we had their OL, we’d be on another level and likely even contender this year.

Why dream about the other team's OL's.... especially after we just trampled all over it?

In the real world we can't trade OL's...so why dream about it?

I don't get it.
