Nice article.  Has a very nice assessment of why our base 3-4 isn't typical.  We can surprise 4 man rush.  

It's not always from the same 4 guys when the OL is facing 6 with two standing on the edge.  

And factoring how athletic they all are, the types we've targeted makes total sense.

Yeah I don't quite get why our defense hasn't been used before.  You can literally line up the same formation every play and rush only 4 every down and it constantly come from different directions.  I don't see how an oline can defend it at all.  I like how there is a name for it, it's not a new concept, but yet I've seen so many articles and videos dissecting our defense.  The Broncos have a great defense and are #1 in points allowed per game right now, but there are no videos out there doing deep dives on what makes them tick.

All in all, whatever it is, this defense is special, and smart people are realizing it.

Idk, I feel like it's making the front less big and more athletic, everyone can move, even the interior, BUT I think maybe it takes a special kind of athlete to be that type of lineman.

I don't understand how the article says this defensive philosophy leaves us in trouble if we can't get the pressure. I'm not sure that's any different than most other philosophies. I mean, we only rush 4 guys most of the time. It's not like we send all 6 or 7. They are just there to confuse and cause hesitation.....if for only a second.
