Very Discouraged By Rhule and His Comments After the Game

If Rhule doesn’t learn quick that he needs to stop coaching like a college coach, giving jobs to college buddies, not addressing the OL and needing a NFL franchise QB, the guy will be looking for a job in college soon.

His college buddy way TF out preformed him today. That D is top notch. Plow away on him, Brady and Darnold. That offense was cringe inducing.

Yup, agreed.  And thats with understanding bad throws and pressure go hand-in-hand, but some throws just shouldn't be made, and the ones he's made the last two weeks are all of that variety.

In contrast, Hurts accuracy is extremely suspect, but look at how many balls he just threw away today after rolling out, despite being an elite athlete.  I think back to guys like Brees and Brady, who would/still annoyingly always find a receiver to throw it down at their feet, even when in the pocket...  or just flat out throw it out of bounds, even from the pocket, rather than risk a turnover.  I had hope for Sam after the first few games, but he's still locking in on certain guys, ignoring others, and throwing passes that just shouldn't be thrown.  Listening to him in his presser today, I'm beginning to believe it's just something he isn't going to outgrow because it's the same issue, attributed to the same reasons ("trying to do too much") that he's been explaining since his last year of college.

It is certainly frustrating.

Thank you

Jesus Tittyfuging Christ this place is full of menstrual dudes. The line is garbage, Sam Darnold isn’t ready to put the team on his back and he needs his security blanket CMC for now. I love these hot takes though. You guys throw tantrums that would embarrass a two year old.

.....and yet you opened with a tantrum, yourself.

The irony is we just talk about what actually just happened. The real emos are the ones clearly and personally butt hurt about the text from strangers depicting just what actually happened. That's a chaffed ass for sure, projection sumbish

Some of the picks are on the WRs---I sense that Anderson is getting frustrated.  It makes sense that he'd be the first to do so, having experience with Darnold.  I also think Darnold is bad when playing from behind--something we saw a lot in NY--but here, he had the lead. Finally, he seems to have problems throwing the out--over the middle and slants etc. seem fine.

On one of the picks, he had the entire middle of the field open(he had a WR there waiting for a catch and  YAC) and went with the tougher choice.

It's like his first read is the only read and goddammit, he's going to throw it there by hell or highwater.   smh.

Somebody should remind Sam that it's okay to throw to OTHERS.

This was a case of Sam not taking what the opposing Defense gave him.    The Complete opposite of what was expected of him.

    • Sure, but if that happens, the draft pick will look even worse for the Falcons, as instead of getting them a player that could win now, they took someone who ran off their prize FA QB after 3 years and now looks like they may be a bust. Penix was one of the more polished QB's in the draft and would have probably been a rookie starter if taken by someone with an uncertain starting QB, if he's not ready to step in and play well in year 3, then it's probably not going to work out. So the only way it helps their contract situation, is if it doesn't work out as they plan, but if it does, they're going to cut Cousins after 2 years and then have to give Penix a monster deal the following offseason.
