Is the Darnold Experiment Over?

Panthers Suck!! Before you knock the Jets why don't you look at how many ex-Jets are on your team! Your team has 2 QB's from the Jets. One of your teams best WR's is an ex-Jet. Don't knock the NY Jets!! The Panthers problem is it's a 1 man team. Without Christian McCaffrey the team stinks. Look at the games your team won and it was all due to Christian McCaffrey. The bottom line is the Panthers really are not any better of a team than the Jets. At least the Jets problem is it's a team of 2nd year plyers and rookies. Nor like the Panthers that have a bunch of Veteran players. Go Jets!!   **AZJETSFAN**

If we lose to the Giants and Falcons it is over.

Regardless of records, the Vikings were the second best team we have played this year.

This is actually a very valid point here that people are missing.

If Sam does not play well against the Giants (and we lose), I think it's safe to say that the "experiment" is finished.

But if he plays well and the Panthers win, the experiment continues....

(of course there's always the possibility that Sam plays well but the Panthers "D" fail to show up...and the Panthers still lose....*grumble*)

I honestly think we'd be in better shape with Kyle Allen still here for nada cashola

Or Heinke.  Phhhpt.  Who we kidding Kyle Allen and Heinke are vanilla flavored crap.  Y'all overreacting.  I'm gonna ride with Sam.  In his defense that last minute clutch stuff was something TB, Kyle and Heinke did not.

Those first couple minutes though...

I agree.  Sam is a frustrating dude.  But do ya really think any rookie gonna be less so?  Look at Baker, Josh Allen ( his first season) Justin Fields, Trevor, Zach ( who some wanted) and Mac Jones.  If ya think they all gonna come in and be saviors ya mistaken.  Give em a solid defense, protective bully big brother oline and some playmakers then they may make it.  Without it they faltering.

    • Good, our ST is almost as bad as our ILB depth!
    • With two starters on expiring contracts (Moton + Corbett) as well as a few back-ups (Christensen, Mays, and Nijman), the Panthers are likely going to have to reinvest in the OL after this coming season. Icky's fifth-year option was picked up by the team this offseason while Lewis and Hunt both remain under contract then (though Lewis' deal is set-up in a way that would let Carolina move on from him then as well). I think that the team is going to be looking at investing a premium pick at RT should Bryce's development continue, and might even look to double dip at the position in order to have a swing tackle that can also kick inside when needed. There's also the question of starting center... Prospects I'm watching this upcoming college season... Centers Jake Slaughter (Florida) Iapani Laloulu (Oregon) Connor Lew (Auburn) Logan Jones (Iowa) Parker Brailsford (Alabama) Connor Tollison (Missouri) Bryce Foster (Kentucky) Pat Coogan Notre Dame) Raheem Anderson (Michigan) Carson Hinzman (Ohio State) RTs Francis Mauigoa (Miami) Kadyn Proctor (Alabama) Spencer Fano (Utah) Gennings Dunker (Iowa) Blake Miller (Clemson) Isaiah World (Oregon) Caleb Tiernan (Northwestern) Monroe Feeling (Georgia) Earnest Greene III (Georgia) Monroe Mills (Louisville) Charles Jagusah (Notre Dame) Tree Babalade (South Carolina) Trey Zuhn III (Texas A&M) Nolan Rucci (Penn State) Tristan Leigh (Clemson) Fernando Carmona (Arkansas) JC Davis (Illinois) Riley Mahlman (Wisconsin) PJ Williams (SMU) Tosh Baker (Notre Dame) Aki Ogunbiyi (Texas A&M) Courtland Ford (Kentucky) Ethan Onianwa (Rice)
    • I watched documentary on the 2010 Auburn season and Cam wasn’t included in that either. I think he just doesn’t care for these things
