I think I'm ready for PJ

Why Shi Smith wasn't out there catching passes is beyond me. He has great hands but this entire offense is befuddling. PJ would be getting killed right now. Darnald has been bad but his offense hasn't helped matters much less Brady. Honestly I'm glad we didn't get Watson because he could have hidden just bad OC play like Cam did.

Only one undefeated QB in Panther history….

PJ moves in chaos better than Darnold.   They both makes throws they shouldn’t.

Lol are you blind?

He has no line.

Every single reciever has been playing like a double amputee.

The last two games in crunch time he has made the winning play or given us a chance.

Last week Robby dropped the game winner.

This week Robby held on.

How many drops did we have today?

I've given Sam the benefit of the doubt but he is now as bad as Clausen was.

I think I'm ready to see if PJ can at least make this offense look semi competent.

Wow.

Zod, you usually have some intelligent insights and all but THIS post of yours sounds like CPsinceday1 hacked your account.

The counter argument regarding the drops is frustrating.  It doesn't mean he still didn't suck the past 3 weeks.  Are we ignoring the game setting INT? Or the early miss on the wide open DJ for an easy bomb?

He's good at rolling out yet bad at improv.  He doesn't read the field as well as you'd like to see.  Jittery.  Yes, a lot of these are because of NYJ and the OL we're giving him, but still, we're just all sorts of discombobulated from coaching to line play to dropsies to the man behind center.  Bad offense all around

I understand that but if the Receivers caught the damn balls that were catchable, we probably would've won and all this conversation would be is just more b*tching about his inaccuracy on the longball that's been going on all season.

There's a time and place for that....this is not the time after all the f*cking drops, saX.

Sam had to take more chances because obviously hitting the receivers in the hands with the ball wasnt working.  Man did everything but run out there and catch the ball himself.  No QB in this league would have survived with as much as the receivers failed in this game.  The blame goes on Brady for a dumb game plan. Run the dam ball.  The team is built for it.

And Sam GOT THE TEAM TO OVERTIME despite everyone having the case of butterfingers in that game for some reason.

He was CLUTCH when the chips were down.    And unfortunately, the "D" couldn't force a 3-and-out in OT or even a FG to get the ball back, and that's all she wrote.

Sam is better than Pickles any day. The problem is that most starting NFL QBs are better than Sam, and that includes Cousins. Most of the teams we'll play this season, excluding rookie QBs, have better QBs. Teddy is better than Sam, so we downgraded to Sam.

I want a much better QB than Sam, and that means we need Watson. Drafting a rookie QB means two more losing seasons. Staying with Sam means we'll never be better than middle of the pack, and often we'll worse.

And I'm saying that Watson will not end up here and that if things continue, we'll end up drafting a QB in a most underwhelming QB class next draft.

Honestly i wouldn't mind PJ or have a problem playing him. More mobile and so far is a better deep ball thrower than Darnold. The misses on the deep passes are piling up for Darnold... he has to start hitting those. Im beginning to believe teams are sitting on routes because they know he cant.

At least one deep.drop today

    • No, he has a long way to go to be that--I think he is probably referring to his ceiling--I think Legette has more room to grow from where he is that those more polished WRs.  When you look at his potential, it presents an argument that is not so one sided.  Of those three, only Odunze had a higher RAS score 9.92.  XL had a 9.90.  Malik Nabors had a 9.67.  Harrison Jr.  did not have one.  I am not sure that Legette has not overcome more obstacles to be where he is, and if you consider his adversity, his story might be more incredible, even though he is only a second tier rookie right nowm with Mitchell, Thomas, Pearsall, and maybe McConkey.  I am going from memory-but you have to think of things as a kid-when he was 16, his mother died of breast cancer.  When he entered S Carolina, his father died.  They had some issues and QB problems and the OL was terrible in Columbia---the others you mentioned?  None of that family drama, and they played at Washington, Ohio State, and LSU.  Huge difference.  I am proud of him as a man--when all his chips were on the table--when he had no more chances, he broke through and became a first round draft pick.  A school with a losing record, mediocre QB, and bad OL.  Mentally, he was struggling through the losses of both parents.  Amazing story.  Is he as good as those three who played at top universities?  Not yet.
