1. Why did we extend Cmac when he had years (plural) on his contract?

2. Why did we extend Anderson when he had a year left on his and we spent a high pick on a wr in the draft and with Moore coming up as well?

3. Why did we pick up the 5th year option on Darnold?

4.  Why didnt we address the oline in the draft?

I am sure there are more but those are burning questions for me as we sit going down the tubes.  For a brief minute it seemed like we were ahead of schedule in getting out from some bad deals but damn we are on the hook for a few more years with some dead weight.

1.  Because when healthy he is one of the best offensive players in the game.  And we don't have a crystal ball to tell us he would get injured

2.  Questionable move no doubt…however Robbie was fantastic last season

3.  Because we didn't have a QB

4.  They addressed the CB position which was a glaring need before the draft.  Horn looked damn good before the injury too

nah, Bills currently have B2B winning seasons, something we still have never achieved.  So their us, but better.

We should have shitcanned Hurney and let Beane become the GM here the moment they got word he was considering leaving to Buffalo.

These are all valid questions, brother.

I like Robby, but I would have much rather lost him in free agency and moved CMC to receiver to prolong his career.

Our RB rotation would still be solid and you can always find rotational RBs in free agency/undrafted guys.

As far as the oline. We passed on very good offensive linemen, & when we drafted Brady Christensen he was hyped up as a “steal” by our guys. Baffling that he can’t crack the rotation with this group of guys.

I think that speaks to how bad Rhule and his guys are at scouting offensive linemen.

Well this doesnt make any sense because Beane was hired may 2017 while Gettleman was still here. Dave wasn't let go untill that july. So Hurney wasnt anywhere in the picture yet.

Not that I  have any way to prove or back this up but I really feel like they planned all along to give Darnold 2 seasons to get the benefit of an offseason (hopefully) more focused on the offensive line unless the bottom absolutely falls out.  There was probably also an element of making sure there was *someone* at QB who was not PJ Walker next year.  I also still do think that if a premier QB falls into the Panthers laps that 2nd year might be a year as the backup.

To the OL in the draft - they kinda did.  They just didn't do it the way we wanted or, apparently, very effectively (though BC didn't look that awful).

Oh well pardon me.  Point still stands, they shoulda shitcanned Gettleman and made Beane GM.  Didn't they end up firing Gettleman the next year anyways?

    • Let it all out bro.   At the end of the day Charlotte fans just aren't that passionate as other fans. The Panthers and Hornets crowds are wack.    Go to a Canes game and you will understand this. Tell the family I said hi and Happy Father's Day.
    • Dude you have no idea what you're talking about. Best place to live?  LMAO... that's your criteria...  Charlotte gets put all over those lists too... come on man... and those lists have zero to do with sports. I'm done after this bc I'm punching down intellectually here... The Panthers have been bad for 6 years now. You are obviously young and not overly educated based off the "dunks" you're putting out there that certainly are, so let me educate you today on the Panthers. The Panthers sold out for well over a decade straight. BOA has been as good an environment as there is when the team is good.  Fan support for the Panthers has been incredible when the team has even remotely reciprocated. The idea that Charlotte doesn't support the Panthers is utter BS. People in Raleigh have the biggest little brother syndrome of all time... Nobody outside of the Triangle cares about any of your "vaunted" sports team outside of Duke-UNC in basketball on a national scale. Sure, the Canes are great. But nationally, the WWE dwarfs the NHL in ratings. More people care about Cody Rhodes than Sebastian Aho... or anyone else in the NHL for that matter... I doubt less than 5% of anyone in this state outside of Raleigh even knows who that is... that's a knock on Aho who is a great player, it's just the NHL barely makes a ripple in the overall hierarchy of American sports. It's not in the same universe as the NFL or NBA no matter how badly you want to tell yourself otherwise. Raleigh is not a big-time sports city, no matter how much you want to scream into the abyss about it. Neither is Charlotte. But no one here is making such a nonsense argument... LOL it's good to be young and to be ignorant enough to be confidently wrong... WTF are you even on this board though since Charlotte is so beneath you? There is an actual discussion board on this very site for Raleigh sports since they are so superior...  Maybe it's bc I'm watching Idiocracy with my son, but your timing is perfect, my man... The dumbest among us have become the most confidence in their ignorance... God Bless America!!
    • You do know the biggest military base in the US is located just an hour from Raleigh in Fort Bragg right? Military families are family oriented. A hour drive to games is nothing compared to traveling 3 hours to Charlotte.   Cmon man there is nothing happening in Western Carolina other than Charlotte. I only go west for outdoor activities and some nature/mountain views.
