Is Paradis one of the last terrible Hurney Contracts left on the team? Shaq's contact is pretty terrible but at least he is a positive when he is on the field and seems to be trying to play up to his pay this season.

I think almost all of the dead money from the Hurney era is finally gone after this season.

At least Shaq had started to play up to his contract compared to some of those.

And in his 1st start as a Vike, Darrisaw with a 64.8 and 1 pressure on 53 pass blocking snaps. And as a run blocker he was pretty dang good. The vikes did help by getting the ball out quick too, hear that Brady............

So thats potentially another OT to add to Slater and Cosmi at OT between Horn and marshall that are out there balling as rookie starters.  Then there is Creed Humphreys that would have likely transformed the line as well considering the turd we have at C.

So while I'm happy with Marshall and Horn as great guys in the long term, it still stings to see OL talent we missed out on do so well while you see our line really hold us back with aweful performances week in and week out.

Watching the MNF highlights makes me sad.

Allen just got sacked after holding on to the ball for 6 seconds.

The next play he overthrew the WR after holding onto the ball for 5 seconds.

Everyone thinks he's a franchise, can't miss, QB 'cos he's playing behind a brick wall. Meanwhile this fanbase thinks our guy is trash because he can't put up MVP numbers when he has pressure in his face every down.

    • I'm not to sure it's a solid argument to try to estimate what he will do this season, BUT he's had a solid 3 years in the league. Here's his numbers compared to Jewell's for the same time period. I can see the logic of getting a starting MLB for a (at best) WR4. AT, XL and Tmac are certainly our top 3 guys IN 2025. Certainly worth pondering.
    • Training camp just started and it's already starting... https://www.facebook.com/reel/24277303321904901/?mibextid=rS40aB7S9Ucbxw6v LOL No one believes you and you have fan pages sharing this with a "Play him or trade him" headline. Oh wee mayne. This is why no front offices wanted any part of this.
    • Honestly, it only makes sense if you're trying to chase being the best bad team you can be this year. The number one question we need answered this season is whether or not Bryce is our long-term franchise QB. Trading away a second year WR who was second on the team in catch percentage, first in yards per target, and who clearly outplayed your 1st round pick for a likely one year rental fill in LB is exactly the type of short sighted desperation moves that has made us the worst franchise in the league under Tepper. We gotta stop making these types of moves and just focus on building a good organization and a good roster. Lloyd is a JAG LB another bad team and awful defense is wavering on and a couple of Panthers fans are salivating over him. Oof. We just need to be patient and wait. Definitely make some calls around the league to teams deep at LB and see if there's an opportunity to add one for a late round pick. Definitely shop the waiver wire hard. The reality is that LB is almost certainly going to be a weakness for us this year. We weren't fixing our entire roster in one off-season and we're not fixing an overall weak positional group in late July.  If you trade for Lloyd LB is still a weakness and you've given up a young promising WR who could potentially help you answer the question of whether or not Bryce is that guy. That's bad football business.
