Matt Rhule says the Panthers offense is about to have a "vastly different look," redefined with more of an emphasis on the run game.

I'm still not convinced his a genius play designer but I still have hope. I'm also not convinced Sam is a lost cause just yet.  But that's another story for another day.

I think if you add a few 1st round picks into that OL things would look much better. We have spent twice the draft capital on defense and tbh what would have helped us out more this year. A 1st round OT and Darnald, a 2nd round OT and Fields, or what we have right now. It's sad but our line is so bad that nothing other than newer better players is going to solve it. I think Horn even if he was healthy wouldn't have mattered because of how bad the OL was. Genius or not prime Drew Brees and Payton couldn't make this OL work. Rhule can talk about running the ball all he wants but this line is good at absolutely nothing. Hubbard is just going to get stonewalled and we are going to be 3 and out.

His stiff arm game might have potential. Had one really good one, one decent one, then failed on the 3rd.

He was a little shakey getting thrown in the Texans game out of nowhere, and then looked really good the last two games. Almost like he's improving with starter reps in practice. People want to not play him because some draft report? Or bring in a worn out vet RB with no knowledge of the playbook? Don't get it

He looks like he is the type of RB that gets better with more carries. A lot of players are like that and it makes sense. IF he can keep his balance he will have some huge runs pop.

But somehow Darnold is supposed to.

Everything starts in the trenches. Lose that battle you lose the war.

Right, I mean is people bout to act like we won't make fun of Darnold when the OL looks good and he beams the DB in the numbers. What part of Panthers history would give someone this idear.

It's easier to blame one person than an entire offense. I mean how many years did we blame Cam for the same problem. You win in the NFL with a high powered offense and a defense that can slow the other team. Not the other way around. It's the pitfall of so many HCs.

Sam’s best play on Sunday was that long run in the 4th.

Given the OL inefficiencies.  I think we should run Sam more.   Probably should work Shi and DJ in a little with some end arounds, pop passes, etc.

but I don’t like Sam’s natural tendency of holding the ball while he runs. He one hands it and leaves it hanging out there too much .  Needs to tuck it in sooner for my liking.

I think he needs to have a talk with the Running Back's coach to show him how to properly carry the ball.

But aside from that, yeah.    Panthers could make opposing team's pay if they ran QB draws more often.

CMC also will shake off the initial arm tackle and keep it moving.   Chubba can’t pull that off yet.

got to have more ran speed in the NFL.

Why is their YPC the same then?

Fans severely overate the differences between RBs given similar circumstances .

Well, I would argue Hubbard and CMC don’t play in similar circumstances.   Because the opposing defenses are playing them different.  Hubbard isn’t getting a CMC defensive game plan and attention.  Why would he?

Changing your offense 6 games into the season shows there are bigger problems the throwing 40 times a game.

Just a thought, Maybe instead of blaming the O, maybe just ,maybe he should be looking at a D that over the last two games gave up over - in OVER - 900 yards of O.
