isn't that what you rebuild for... to build a contender?

Yes, but you don’t go from horrible and rebuild mode to magically being contenders.

You build into being a good football team inbetween that.   And this staff isn’t on pace to even start addressing the OL/QB until year 3.   Which again, takes time.  It’s a poor schedule/plan.

There has been heated disagreement here but few are telling others to go and root for another team. Anyone who is here through this slop probably isn't going to bail now. 99% of us seek the same thing only a tiny percentage actually want to see failure. I totally understand people who take the optimist approach but barring a miracle we won't see back to back winning seasons until minimum 2024 or 2025 so the critics are very much justified. Some people are just tired and it is absolutely relatable.

I agree. Im not here to argue if they are doing a rebuild correctly. Im just here stating that we are in a complete rebuild. Maybe our rebuild is taking longer than it should. But I think that is just because of how they prioritized things. They put the defense first and addressed other holes with "glue and tape" players. Some may stick and some may not. I see them making fixes to OL in year 3 but developing OL takes more than just bringing them in. So that could take another year maybe 2. So yes you can definitely say that even if a 3 year rebuild is how long it is supposed to take, we are behind. We all know how hard it is to hit on a franchise QB. We were more or less praying Darnold was the guy... not expecting.

That’s tough. Three to four more years before we will start to win? Panthers fans better start checking David Tepper’s record as the owner of this team. It’s time to put him in on notice.

The last 3 games have been disappointing, but not shocking...at least not to me.

We knew our issues coming into the season...massive O Line problems....mix that with a jumpy INT prone QB, and what we are seeing isn't completely crazy.

Since Fitt got here, I have had reason to look up though...we have not committed any MASSIVE mistakes since his arrival...at least FO decisions...that's progress for the Carolina Panthers.

Why would some of you guys pay to support losing teams? This is Tepper’s 4th season as the owner of this team. We haven’t won anything under that man.

If you don't want to pay to support the Panthers then you quite literally do not have to. It is your choice.

    • The guys who are the top 3 in the draft compared to XL have less room for growth. Especially Harrison. He's been groomed his whole life for this by a legend. He's naturally gifted and well trained for being the top. He'll get better, but he won't get much better than where he is right now, imo...not compared to XL. I'm not saying that XL will be better than Harrison, just that Harrison's floor is a lot bigger than XLs because of the investment made in him from essentially birth. He had advantages that XL just didn't have. XL is just now getting into a position where he can receive solid coaching and opportunity he's never had before. He's naturally gifted an old supposedly very coachable and takes to coaching well. There's no telling how good he can be.
    • Who is to say what's realistic and, even at that....who the fug cares what anyone's "realistic" take is? I'm not upset by anyone's take on it. I'm just an advocate for something other than the take that there's no reason to be optimistic. A realistic take, in my opinion (because there is no objectivity in anyone's take at this point) is that the season hasn't been played yet and there's been movement that can be seen as us heading in a positive direction ...or a negative one, depending on your perspective. I don't believe the part to be an accurate predictor of the future if changes have been made. And don't think you aren't allowed to get in a discussion with me just because I'm a mod. I don't ban people for disagreeing with me. I just look for reasons to feel good about the team. It's easy to feel like crap about it based on the past. I'm just tired of feeling like that so i quit. We aren't losing yet so why not take a moment to feel ok about what's going on? Again, that's just me. I'm giving an alternative to the easy pessimistic takes.
    • I don't think there is anyway Bryce Young can stink....and remain the starting QB past this year.  NFL history of late strongly goes against that.  Then you got Tepper as the ice cream on top.
