Mike Florio confirms: It's currently down to the Dolphins and Panthers for Deshaun Watson

It really isn't.

1.) Houston has a deal they'll take from Car and Miami
2.) Car/Miami want the legal issues resolved/know what the suspension will be before making the deal
3.) Watson has to agree to deal

The legal issues won’t be resolved anytime soon, so no trade?

The Houston Chronicle reported on Tuesday that the Dolphins and Texans have agreed to terms on a trade for QB Deshaun Watson, but the Dolphins want clarity on his legal issues before going through with it.

That means there is no timeline on when Watson could be a Dolphin, as there is no end in sight for his legal issues. Regardless, it's interesting to confirm that there have been talks and potentially even an agreement between the two sides on a deal to send Watson to Miami, even if nothing is imminent on account of the accusations levied toward the quarterback.

    • While our defense looks like it has improved and has lots of potential, I feel like it also could end up being a complete failure. Phillips has flashed greatness but never had a season where he had over 10 sacks although was great in advanced stats. He also has had a lot of injuries. He’s still young so he could still improve but he is a major risk and with that monster contract it could really hurt us. I don’t know if there’s ways we can get out of the contract after a 1-2 years without it really hurting us but I hope we did. Loyd is a one year wonder and could hurt us. Scourton had a solid rookie season but nothing amazing. Will he improve? Umanmielen Hasn’t shown much.  last year we spent money on Wharton who hasn’t worked out for us and looks to be injured this season. We don’t know how rookie Lee Hunter will be either. Horn who is arguably our best defender has a major injury history. We have a lot of potential problems on defense.
    • Or maybe he's in meetings and knows when others make mistakes that ruin plays. Just a possibility. For the record, I think Bryce has to be more consistent this season or it'll be time to start looking for his replacement.  However, football is not a one person sport. QBs need a lot of things to go right to win on a pass play. But if one thing goes wrong, the entire play can fail.
