No way. He’s accused of +20 counts of sexual assault. What is wrong with you?

Unless this is all some weird conspiracy and he his totally innocent (spoiler alert, it is not), I wouldn’t go near him.

What don't people get about this ... and shouldn't Watson be canceled for this?

Using Football Outsiders Offensive Line Adjusted Line Yards(Running Performance) and Adjusted Sack Rate(Pass Blocking performance) from 1996 to 2021, here are the rankings of each unit:

1996: 12th, 17th
1997: 2nd, 13th
1998: 17th, 24th
1999: 20th, 19th
2000: 31st, 31st
2001: 22nd, 8th
2002: 29th, 27th
2003: 12th, 9th
2004: 24th, 8th
2005: 13th, 9th
2006: 23rd, 16th
2007: 19th, 15th
2008: 8th, 9th
2009: 18th, 18th
2010: 27th, 31st
2011: 5th, 21st
2012: 30th, 21st
2013: 14th, 25th
2014: 27th, 22nd
2015: 12th, 21st
2016: 25th, 19th
2017: 25th, 19th
2018: 11th, 9th
2019: 17th, 28th
2020: 13th, 17th
2021: 23rd, 23rd

So, in 26 years that breaks down as such:

Top 8 Running Unit: 11.5%
Top 8 Pass Protection Unit: 7.7%
Top 8 Run/Pass Unit: 0%

Bottom 8 Running Unit: 26.9%
Bottom 8 Pass Protection Unit: 19.2%
Bottom 8 Run/Pass Unit: 11.5%

'97, '03, '05, '08 and '18 were pretty good overall units based off those stats.   Again, '03, 05 and '08 were when Gross was a young stud.  Outside of that, it's like we lucked into a couple of good units...literally TWO.

Lack of overall investment. We just have not prioritized it in the past 20 years.

I’ll pass!! I think we need to get the offensive line better and look for a new offensive coordinator!! We are a young team and I like a lot of the potential on defense!! The offense needs another year to get better lineman especially a new center!! If Rhule struggles next year and the defense is great still promote Snow!

    • Joe Person   @josephperson · 16m     Panthers become the 1st team this yr with 5 weekly winners: Rico Dowdle, Ryan Fitzgerald, Sam Martin, Tre'von Moehrig and Bryce. Panthers last did that in 2017: Cam Newton, Julius Peppers, Luke Kuechly, Jonathan Stewart and Damiere Byrd.
    • Gotta wonder if Smitty's brain has turned to mush with how hard he played in the NFL
    • OK, fair enough--however, since my point was that drafting a QB in the top 10 is stupid, if you consider the players who were not drafted in the top 10 or those who WERE drafted in the top 10 and did not secure starting positions with the team that drafted them, you should see the point.  Is it smart to draft a QB in the top 10 when only 4 are still starting for the team that drafted them.  Next, consider that half of that number, 2, were drafted outside the first round.  Next, there are 4 (Goff, Mayfield, Jones, and Darnold) who are starting on other teams after busting.   That number could increase as Arizona seems ready to move on from Murray, Miami is not sold on Tua, and jacksonville is still waiting for Trevor to start looking elite.  Bryce?   So to answer your question, there are MANY more QBs in the NFL who have busted and become starters on other rosters, were drafted after day 1, or are still on the cusp than the four who have become elite.  I thought that point was made.
