DJax, Bouye, and Gilmore’s contract are up this year. If they are confident in him we might be rolling with him, Horn, and Taylor next year.

LOL.  We would have had to draft a CB in 2022 draft if we didn't get CJ.   So we traded for a third for a first. Even if he turns out to be CB3, worth a 3rd round pick.   We aren't going to be able to pay Gilmore and Jackson and Bouye.

Maybe, but at the same time is he really better than Jackson, Gilmore, or Bouye right now?

I can buy the "long-term move" argument with Henderson, but it is disappointing that he hasn't even gotten a jersey the last few weeks.

Bouye signed 2 years for 7 million I do believe. He'll be back.

Which is stupid because this ain’t the 70s or even early 2000s NFL. You have to be able to put points on the board. The defense isn’t gonna hold teams, especially the good ones to less than 300 yards and one or two TDs…

It was a thought-out, well-informed trade. 

There's no guarantee that any of our guys, except for Horn, will be with us within the coming months. Plus, why would you give up on a young player so damned soon? When you think about, it makes no sense.

CJ is a TBD because he was fairly cheap. 

Very well could turn into a bust but perhaps he pans out to be a solid starting caliber CB even if he isn't elite. If so, it was a good pick up.

I am not gonna jump off the cliff QUITE yet on Henderson because he doesn't have 3 years of bad film like Darnold did.

Who said to give up on him? He just hasn't shown any ability to play yet.
