Will Joe Brady EVOLVE and put together packages/plays that align with Cam's style

Brady opted out of coaching Cam to pursue Teddy Bridgewater

people keep saying this.  There has never been any evidence that Joe Brady has any decision making power or real influcence with Matt Rhule.  We know Phil Snow does.  That's it.

You think they coincidentally landed on Teddy?

I think with no input from Joe Brady....this front office could of easily thought Teddy made sense if they wanted to be done with Cam.

So you take Cam away and ask this front office to then look around for a band-aid?  Well, that was Teddy.  That wouldn't be a unique Joe Brady take IMO.  Matt Rhule knew he had limited time and he knew Teddy knew the system he was going to run.

Joe Brady isn't a Rhule guy.   Snow is a Rhule guy.   There just hasn't been any indication IMO that Brady has any real pull here.  We know Snow does.   I don't think it makes a lot of sense to believe a random first time OC that Rhule doesn't even know.....dictated how the foundation of the Matt Rhule era kicked off.

Having dudes like Darnold and Bridgewater who everybody knew were limited players gave the coaches some cover. But Cam? He can execute an NFL offense. If Cam does well, or even if he doesn't do well but the play design was there, then I think Brady is doing what he's supposed to do as the coordinator. But if this offense gets out of control with Cam back there then Tepper will show Brady the door. It ain't Rhule's show anymore either and he might be right behind Brady. We're a half game out of the playoffs after 9 games with Darnold. If Cam stays healthy this team should make the playoffs.

If I was Brady, Id let Cam be Cam, take all the shackles off and let the lion roar. All of Cam issues came when Rivera and Shula tried desperately to get him to stay in the pocket. This is when Cam started taking those massive hits that started the injury train.

I only remember one time Cam getting injured on a scramble and that was against ATL at the goal line, Cam even admitted he half assed at the end and it was why get got the concussion.

We're going to try to run the ball a lot to limit the number of times Cam throws the ball, thus reducing interceptions. When we do throw it needs to be the easiest passes possible within reason give the yardage needed. Cam will target CMC a lot as that is a no brainer. Should be fun to see him out there again next week.

I really don't want us to abuse the RPO like Shula did. It made us predictable. Let Cam run the offense as it is now and sprinkle some designed runs.

All Cam has to do is hit the wide open guys that Sam keeps missing and we're golden.

We are more predictable now and if that chode consistently puts cam under center with this line, he won't make it thru a series

I dk if anyone remembers but in 2015 cam called audibles a lot and for some reason they stopped and it was probably bc it made shula look bad.

    • Time to hit 4000 yards and 30 TDs (including rushing). I don't care about INTs anymore. That's a big part of the problem. He plays uber conservative until the game is on the line. Playing not to lose, instead of playing to win. Time to let it friggin rip from the get. The team can win with a pick or 2 if he has 3-4 TDs. Stop playing scared.  But to be fair, his WRs have not been great. You all can bash about 1st round picks and O-line cap all you want.  Chuba as your #1 RB his entire career.  Adam Thielen as your best WR for 2 of 3 seasons is ridiculous. Then a rookie as your best in the 3rd season. Legette is not a 1st round talent. Probably closer to a 4th if you compare him to Brazzel this year. Coker has been a walking injury report. Nothing else to really speak of at WR or TE. Jimmy Horn has potential, but he is not an NFL starter yet. Oline has been better as run blockers than pass blockers. Ickey has always been so-so as a pass blocking LT. Center has been a revolving door for 3 years. Damien Lewis has been as marketed. Hunt is a great run blocker but an ok pass blocker - when healthy. Moton has been solid at RT. Biggest problem with the oline has been depth. When someone went down, their replacement became a glaring weakness. Overall a good but not great unit the last 2 years. 2023 was a ish show. Nothing else to say.  Not one game breaker, take it to the house offensive weapon since DJ Moore. Hopefully we get a little of that from Brazzell.  Either way, in his 4th season, it doesn't matter. You have to be able to overcome whatever comes your way. First 3 seasons with a young supporting cast is defendable. Can't use that anymore though. 3rd year in the offense. 3rd year with the same HC.
    • Highest amount of OL salary cap in the league too. The Chiefs are behind us at 2 but we are ahead of them by a cool $23 million. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/position/offensive-line/_/year/2026/table/active/sort/cap_total
    • I dont recall that happening to a qb but my memory has been crap the past few years
