Too many problems to find one solution

Coming to the realization that Darnold was holding the offense back, is not scapegoating, it was the truth.

Now as far as Rhule's coaching goes that's another topic.

The defense laid a egg today, and Heinicke played the game of his life. Even with all that we still had a shot because of Cam. I believe in this defense and think next week they will have a much better showing.

Heineke played qb like he suppose to this is not college. I could have got out there and played well against the panthers. We stopped nothing. That is a recipe for success with any decent qb. All I have heard is how great the Panthers D is and yesterday they looked awful. Strength once again was suppose to be the defense and it sucked. Td was being awfully nice when he said this unit better than their unit. Ron knows what he drafted on this team and he played to their weakness. In all this game could have been won. I say just let Cam be Cam. I enjoyed seeing Cam playing well. They knew he was limited and attacked as such. I thought that Cam starting would be good bc the defense was suppose to be good. The defense lost this game. Laid a big egg!

Yesterday was a realization that both sides can suck when exposed. The D has been exposed when they haven't played trash teams on offense. The offense will look better due to Cam, he alone will carry this team to being middle of the pack...even with crayon eating playcalling. He transcends trash on the coaching staff as he has his entire career. Defense can't stop any type of power running which is a recipe for never making it deep in the playoffs. Need major changes with the coaching staff on both sides.

If I fuging hear one more fugen defensive player say "this isnt who we are", Im gonna fuging lose my poo, just heard it on the post game show and Im fuging livid.  APPARENTLY THIS IS WHO YOU fuging ARE!  WEAK SOFT PUSSY DEFENSIVE TEAM WHO CANT PLAY WHEN SOMEONE PUNCHES YOU IN THE MOUTH!  EITHER fuging PROVE US WRONG OR SHUT THE fug UP WITH THIS "NOT WHO WE ARE" BULLSHIT!

The person who said that at the podium, would you say what you typed here to their face? I'm curious because if not maybe calling someone out as "weak soft pussy" might be mildly hypocritical. Anyway, when you do go off on whomever the defensive player was, can you please record it and post here later? That would be super.

First, didn't say player was a weak assed pusdy, the defense is that.  We got punched in the mouth and fold like a soggy bag of poo.  Second, this "WhY dOnT yOu SaY tHaT tO tHeIr FaCe" is one of the oldest and shittiest things dumbasses say on the internet.  If their hymen is hurt by someone saying poo on the internet while earning millions of dollars to play a fuging game, then they literally are irredeemably weak.

If I was Christian McCaffrey, I would be telling my agent to get me out of Carolina NOW. He's an exceptional player and should be playing for a team that's going somewhere other than 9-8, which will be the mark if this keeps up. As a running back, he's only got a short time before playing for a very average team takes its toll mentally and physically. And especially now that Newton is back - because mark my words - that guy will be quickly returning to sulky manbaby antics as soon the spotlight fades and the team isn't winning. We all know how selfish Newton is, and if everything doesn't go perfectly in his little brain, he'll be causing the same crap he did in 2018-2019.

So him not staying healthy isn't a problem??

OL is the problem, was the problem and will continue to be the problem.  Not Darnold, not Cam, not the defense and not the coaching.  OL

I might even take up for Brady here.  Him running the ball all the time is because our OL can’t block anyone in the passing game.  They can’t do it.

Cam has basically been told he isn’t part of the long term plan unless something extraordinary happens. There isn’t room for antics.

    • With the exception of knowing our obvious needs and who we were talking to along the way, my question is this:  How did so many people start on this Jalon Walker frenzy?  I think this--everyone wants to have a voice, make a prediction.  Now with social media and 24 hour tv, networks, etc.  it is more like a middle school grapevine than it is a process where people actually dig for real evidence and reasons.  Speculative journalism is lazy, and since there are now 2,348.356 podcasters with basement studios blasting nonsense into our phones all day, I think they just cut and paste ideas.  Yes, coaches lie and mislead, but I don't think Morgan or Canales did.  You are only as reliable as your sources.  Was Morgan more deliberate this year?  I think he heard the gossip and decided to downplay WR.  He said, (paraphrasing) "We like our QB room.  We will probably add to it at some point."  Not a lie, but definitely downplaying things. I was convinced that we needed a blazer to keep safeties honest, but to be honest, I am not sure that we have the QB with the arm to keep safeties honest.  We have Coker who is 6'1", Theilen is 6'2", and Legette is 6'3" and now TMac is 6'4"+.  It seems size has more value than blazing deep speed.  If I had known they thought that, I might have gone with TMac all along--I thought he was not a good fit.  And if you look at the Panther guide and consider the talent they met with in the first round, there was only one offensive player--TMac. There was another quote that Morgan made that might have been a bit revealing or at least directive. (Paraphrasing) "We want players that were productive in college."  Well, TMac was very productive. In 2023 and in 2024, he averaged 108.8 yards per game.   He is also a great artist.  Drew this portrait of Bryce Young from memory: Many people spent 3 months absolutely confident that Jalon Walker would play edge here. We had a need at edge, but with Clowney, Wonnum, and Jones, were we OK if we drafted a second round Edge? Was Walker the answer?  Unlike Hunter, he is a versatile player who could be awesome in the right system, but if used as a pure edge, he is not a top 10 player.  I was convinced that we would sign Jalon and as much as I like the kid, I could not feel good about the pick.  Mykel Williams scared me.  Both might be great players, but I could not see it.  So was Scourton productive? He was as a Jr when he was standing.  When asked to be other things, he lost his edge (pun intended). In essence, I think we got the best pure edge when you take away the other things he was supposed to do.  Walker's productivity was based on his versatility--something he would lose as a pure edge--so we would not really be meeting needs at edge.  Scourton, on the other hand, is better when not asked to be versatile.  Princely had 10.5 sacks in the SEC.  It simply makes sense.
    • I think they will too. Renfrow will use this opportunity to get in shape and get paid for it. After he's cut he will probably get picked up by someone after preseason.
